Clean Green Power Washing

House Washing in Tarrytown, TX

House Washing in Tarrytown, TX with a low-pressure method matched to every surface, from our shop on Pond Springs Road. Free quotes, Monday to Saturday.

House Washing for Tarrytown Homes

Tarrytown sits west of downtown Austin between Lake Austin Boulevard, Lake Austin, West 35th Street and MoPac. Its land was once a 365-acre estate called Woodlawn, and today its streets, from Exposition Boulevard to Enfield and Windsor Roads, are lined with homes that face the same Central Texas weather as the rest of the city.

Is the outside of your home starting to look tired? In Tarrytown, the usual culprits are easy to name. Pollen settles in a fine yellow layer. Dust from dry spells and construction sticks to it. Shade and humidity give algae and mildew a place to grow, especially on walls behind trees. Hard water from irrigation leaves spotting low on the siding. Clean Green Power Washing handles house washing with low pressure and a cleaning solution matched to what is actually on your walls. That protects paint, vinyl, stucco, brick and stone while the growth and film let go. Each visit starts with a walkthrough so you know what we see before any water runs, and your landscaping gets watered down and shielded first. We are open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM. Reach us at (512) 662-8422 for a free quote.

What Our House Washing Covers in Tarrytown

Lower Walls and Foundation Lines

The bottom few feet of any wall take a beating. Rain splashes soil up onto the siding, and sprinklers leave white mineral spots behind. We treat this band on every side of the home so it matches the upper walls, and we keep the rinse angled away from the slab and the weep screed along the base of any stucco.

Limestone and Natural Stone

Many homes around here use limestone or other natural stone on the facade. Stone is tough, but it is also porous and can etch under a hard spray. We treat it with low pressure and a solution suited to masonry, which lifts organic staining and environmental film while keeping the face of the stone and the mortar lines intact.

Porch Ceilings and Overhangs

Covered patios and porch ceilings trap moisture and attract insects, so they tend to gather mildew spots, cobwebs and mud dauber nests. We wash them from below with a gentle spray, taking care around ceiling fans, light fixtures and outlets, then rinse the walls and floor beneath so nothing drips onto a freshly cleaned surface later.

Painted and Vinyl Siding

Most homes in the area have painted lap siding, vinyl panels or fiber cement boards on at least part of the house. All three can chalk, fade or peel if they are hit with a narrow high pressure spray. We keep the pressure low and let the cleaning mix break down film and growth, so the finish comes out clean instead of scarred.

5 Common Siding Problems We Clean in Tarrytown

Before we quote a job, we look closely at what is on the walls, because algae, pollen and mineral spots do not all respond the same way. The list below covers the usual suspects on local homes. Tarrytown borders Lake Austin, and homes on the lake side or under tree cover stay damp longer after rain, which is where algae and mildew tend to grow first.

Green Algae on Shaded Walls

Algae is a living organism, and it thrives where walls stay damp. That green film is common behind shrubs, under trees and on any side that misses afternoon sun. Our solution kills the growth rather than just knocking off the top layer, so the wall stays clear for longer after we leave.

Yellow Cedar Pollen Film

Each winter and spring, cedar pollen coats everything in a fine yellow dust. On siding it mixes with humidity and turns sticky, so it does not simply blow away with the next breeze. A proper wash dissolves that film and lets the true color of the paint show again.

Runoff Stains at Roof Corners

Where two rooflines meet or a gutter overflows, water sheets down one spot on the wall again and again. It leaves a tan or black trail that rain alone will never wash away. We work these trails from the top so the wall dries to one even tone.

Mold and Mildew on the North Side

The side of the house that gets the least sun is almost always the dirtiest. Moisture lingers, and black or green growth spreads along the siding and into the corners. We let our solution dwell longer here so the growth releases fully before the rinse.

Chalky Sprinkler Spots

Irrigation water in this region is often hard, and when it hits the lower walls over and over, the minerals dry into white or tan spots. They are stubborn. We treat them as part of the wash and will tell you honestly if old spotting has etched into the finish.

Why Tarrytown Homeowners Choose Us

Homeowners in Tarrytown call us for the same reasons our Austin customers do: a careful method, a crew that treats the property with respect and a quote that says exactly what will be done.

Low Pressure Where It Belongs

Paint, siding, shingles and soft stone are cleaned with a soft wash: low pressure and a cleaning solution that breaks down the growth, so the surface comes clean without being worn down. Concrete gets surface cleaning equipment instead.

An Eco-Friendly Way to Clean

Clean Green was built around eco-friendly exterior cleaning. We choose solutions for the surface in front of us, use only what the job needs, and rinse plants and beds so the yard is left the way we found it.

How Our House Washing Process Works

Our method is simple on purpose: understand the surfaces, protect what is around them, clean gently, and check the finish. The five steps below show how that plays out at your home.

1. Walkthrough and Surface Check

We start by walking around the house, with you or on our own if you are away. We note each material, from siding to stone, and identify what is actually causing the discoloration, whether that is pollen film, algae, mildew or runoff. That tells us which mix and dwell time to use.

2. Prep the Landscaping

Flower beds, shrubs and lawn edges get a thorough soaking with clean water so they are protected from the cleaning mix. We also close windows, cover sensitive fixtures if needed, and lay our hoses so they do not crush plants or block walkways while we work.

3. Low Pressure Solution Application

Next, we apply the cleaning solution evenly at low pressure, working section by section so no wall gets missed or doubled up. The mix is chosen for the surfaces we noted in step one, and it goes on gently enough to protect paint, stucco texture and window seals.

4. Patience While It Loosens

Growth and grime take a little time to let go. We leave the solution in place for the right window, keeping an eye on sun exposure and temperature so it stays active. Heavy spots on shaded walls may get extra attention here, while lighter areas are ready sooner.

5. Careful Rinse and Final Look

We rinse from the top down with low pressure so water does not get forced into seams or behind panels. Once the house begins to dry, we walk it again, checking for streaks, missed spots or uneven patches, and touch up anything that needs it before we pack up.

House Washing Pricing in Tarrytown

Wondering what house washing will cost? The honest answer is that it depends on the house, which is why we quote each one individually and at no charge. A single story ranch and a two story home with a tall gable wall are very different jobs. We also look at what the walls are made of, how thick the growth or staining is, and how easy it is to reach each side of the house with our equipment. Once we have walked the property or looked at photos you send, you get a clear price before anything is scheduled. Plenty of Tarrytown homeowners pair house washing with gutter, window or driveway cleaning, and we can handle those together in one trip. To get your free quote, call (512) 662-8422.

Booking more than one service? We also offer roof cleaning in Tarrytown, driveway cleaning in Tarrytown and deck cleaning in Tarrytown, and every service we cover is listed on our exterior cleaning services page.

I would say for the price I paid, $800. Only one layer of coating on top and no brush on edges or under the coping stones is extremely disappointing. I could do this top layer coating with a roller for a fraction of the cost myself. Not a professional service.

House Washing in Tarrytown: Frequently Asked Questions

We connect to an outside spigot at your home, and the amount of water used depends on the size of the house and how much rinsing it needs. We also need a clear path around the house, unlocked gates and room to park and set up near the driveway. If a side yard is blocked or very narrow, mention it when you call.
Most homes are finished in a few hours. The exact time depends on the size of the house, how many stories it has and how much buildup is on the walls. A small single story home with light pollen goes quicker than a large house with heavy algae. When we book the visit, you get an honest estimate of how long we will be there.
Pressure washing uses a strong stream of water to strip dirt from hard surfaces like concrete. Soft washing uses cleaning solutions at low pressure, letting the solution break down growth and grime rather than relying on force. For siding, stucco, painted trim and stone, soft washing is the safer choice, which is why we use it for house washing.
Yes. We serve homes across Tarrytown, from Lake Austin Boulevard to West 35th Street. Call (512) 662-8422 for a free quote.
No, as long as we can reach every side of the house. Many customers are at work while we clean. We will need gates unlocked, pets secured indoors and an outdoor water spigot available. We confirm these details before the visit and let you know when the job wraps up, so you can see the results when you get home.
Yes, when it is done with care. We soak plants before and after the wash so they are protected, and we rinse nearby surfaces thoroughly when we finish. We ask that pets stay inside or away from the work area during the job, simply so they do not walk through wet solution or get tangled up with our hoses and equipment.
Yes. Stone is common on homes in this area, and it needs a gentle approach because it is porous and can etch under high pressure. We use low pressure with a solution suited to masonry, which lifts algae and environmental film without roughing up the face of the stone or loosening the mortar between the pieces.
It does. Shade keeps surfaces damp, so growth comes back faster, and gutters and roof valleys collect more debris. We look at the shaded areas on the walkthrough and plan the cleaning around them.
