Stone Cleaning in Steiner Ranch, TX

Stone Cleaning in Steiner Ranch, TX with a low-pressure method matched to every surface, from our shop on Pond Springs Road. Free quotes, Monday to Saturday.

Stone Cleaning for Steiner Ranch Homes

Steiner Ranch covers 4,600 acres on a ridge in a bend of the Colorado River, between Lake Travis and Lake Austin. Its 5,719 homes live with strong sun, lake-country humidity and hillside runoff, all of which leave their marks on an exterior.

Natural stone gives a home in Steiner Ranch a look that poured concrete never quite matches, yet it also asks for more thought when it gets dirty. Travertine, limestone, flagstone and slate each have their own pores, texture and chemistry, so a single cleaning recipe will not suit all of them. Clean Green Power Washing starts every stone job by identifying the material, then picks the cleaner, dwell time and pressure to match. The goal is simple: pull out pollen film, dust, algae and grime while leaving the color and surface just as nature made them. We clean patios, pool decks, walkways, steps, outdoor kitchens and retaining walls. Call (512) 662-8422 or send a few photos, and we will set up a free quote for the stone at your home in Steiner Ranch.

Patios, Pool Decks and Other Stone Areas

Travertine Pool Surrounds

Travertine is soft and porous, which makes it pleasant underfoot and also quick to hold stains. Around a pool it collects algae in low spots, mineral marks from splash-out and a greasy film from lotions. Stone-safe cleaners with a measured dwell time lift that residue without etching the surface or dulling its tumbled texture.

Grill Zones and Outdoor Kitchens

Cooking areas collect drips, smoke and food residue that ordinary rain never rinses away. On stone counters, bar tops and the pavers under a grill, we pretreat the heaviest spots, give the cleaner time to work, and wash around appliances and gas lines with care. The result is a space you will want to host friends in again.

Stacked Stone Walls and Planters

Raised beds, seat walls and stone planters get soaked by sprinklers several times a week. That constant moisture feeds mildew and leaves hard water rings along the base. We soft wash the faces, pay close attention to the mortar lines, and keep runoff away from the soil so the plants in and around the planters stay healthy.

Stairs, Risers and Landings

Stone stairs gather dirt on every edge and nose, and the shaded treads often grow a green film that turns slippery after rain. We clean each step on its own, working the risers, corners and landing so the whole run matches. Cleaner steps look sharper and, with the film gone, they offer better footing too.

5 Common Stone Problems We Clean in Steiner Ranch

Most calls we get about stone are not about a little dust. They come after the patio or deck has turned dark, blotchy or slick. These are the five problems we see most on natural stone in Steiner Ranch. With water on two sides of the Steiner Ranch ridge, humid air and shaded slopes give organic growth a head start on north-facing walls and roof planes.

Cedar Pollen Haze

Each winter and spring, cedar and oak pollen drift onto patios and walkways and settle into the grain of textured stone. Rain spreads it into a dull, yellow gray film that a garden hose barely touches. A proper pretreatment breaks that film down so the true color of the stone can show again.

Green Edges on Steps and Walls

Where stone meets soil, moisture wicks up and green growth follows. Steps, wall bases and planter edges often show it first. Soft washing treats and lifts that growth at low pressure, which protects older mortar and keeps the stone face from getting scarred or pitted during the cleaning.

Greasy Pool Deck Residue

Sunscreen, body oil and splash water mix into a thin film on pool decking, especially near steps and loungers. It holds dirt, feels slick and makes travertine look blotchy. A stone-safe cleaner lifts the residue, and a thorough rinse keeps the deck comfortable to walk on barefoot all summer.

Dust Packed Into Joints and Pores

Dry, windy months push fine dust into every pore and joint line. On rough stone like flagstone, that dust turns the whole surface a flat brown. Low pressure cleaning with the right nozzle pulls dirt out of the texture without eroding the joint fill that holds each piece in place.

Stripes From an Earlier Pressure Wash

Some stone we see has already been cleaned once with a narrow, hard tip. That leaves light wand marks, fuzzy spots and uneven lines. Etched stone cannot be undone, but careful, even cleaning can blend the surrounding area so those marks draw far less attention than before.

Why Steiner Ranch Homeowners Choose Us

Homeowners in Steiner Ranch call us for the same reasons our Austin customers do: a careful method, a crew that treats the property with respect and a quote that says exactly what will be done.

Low Pressure Where It Belongs

Paint, siding, shingles and soft stone are cleaned with a soft wash: low pressure and a cleaning solution that breaks down the growth, so the surface comes clean without being worn down. Concrete gets surface cleaning equipment instead.

An Eco-Friendly Way to Clean

Clean Green was built around eco-friendly exterior cleaning. We choose solutions for the surface in front of us, use only what the job needs, and rinse plants and beds so the yard is left the way we found it.

A Local Shop Since 2018

Bryan Gerhold founded Clean Green in 2018, and our crews work out of our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in Austin. We are open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM.

A Walkthrough Before the Water Goes On

Every job starts with a look at the surfaces, the stains and the landscaping, so the method fits the property instead of the other way around. You know what we plan to do before we start.

How Our Stone Cleaning Process Works

You do not have to guess what happens on the day. Every stone job follows the same five steps, and we explain each one to you before we begin.

1. Look First, Then Plan

Before any equipment comes off the truck, we study the stone up close. Material type, finish, age, shade exposure and the amount of growth all shape the plan. We also check the joints and nearby surfaces so cleaning one area does not leave the next one looking different.

2. Break Down the Buildup

Algae, pollen film and grease respond far better to chemistry than to force. A stone-safe pretreatment goes on first and gets a measured amount of time to work. That step lets the grime let go gently, so we can clean with far less pressure later on.

3. Low Pressure Wash With Steady Passes

With the buildup loosened, we wash at a controlled setting and keep the wand moving at a consistent speed and distance. Large patios and decks get full, even coverage so no section dries lighter or darker than the rest of the stone around it.

4. Detail Work on Corners and Faces

Grooves, steps, wall faces and the edges along beds and doors get their own attention. This part is slow, but it is what makes the space look complete, rather than clean in the middle and still dirty along every border and joint.

5. Rinse and Dry-Down Check

A full rinse carries away loosened grime and leftover cleaner. Wet stone can hide uneven areas, so we wait for it to start drying, then walk it again. If a spot needs another pass, we take care of it before we pack up and head out.

Stone Cleaning Pricing in Steiner Ranch

There is no one price for natural stone because no two stone areas are the same. What moves the number: how many square feet need cleaning, whether the stone is soft travertine or tough slate, how dark the staining or organic film has become, and how easy it is to reach the work with hoses and equipment. Vertical surfaces and outdoor kitchens take extra care. We look at your stone first, either during a visit or through photos, and only then give a set price. The quote is free, with no obligation. Want the roof, gutters or house cleaned while we are at your Steiner Ranch property? We can add those to the same visit. Call (512) 662-8422 today.

Serving Steiner Ranch From Our Pond Springs Road Shop

Steiner Ranch is a planned community and census-designated place in Travis County, 18 miles by road northwest of downtown Austin. Developer Al Hughes bought the land from the Steiner family in the late 1980s. The community sits on a 4,600-acre ridge on the north side of the Colorado River, between Lake Travis and Lake Austin, and it is part of Leander Independent School District.

At the 2020 census Steiner Ranch counted 16,713 residents and 5,719 housing units. Life between two lakes means views and breezes, and also damp air and shaded slopes that let algae and mildew settle on siding, roofs, fences and hardscape.

Steiner Ranch is about 9.5 miles from our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd as the crow flies, and it is part of our regular service area.

We serve Steiner Ranch along with the other communities on our service areas page, all from the same crew that handles pressure washing in Austin.

I would say for the price I paid, $800. Only one layer of coating on top and no brush on edges or under the coping stones is extremely disappointing. I could do this top layer coating with a roller for a fraction of the cost myself. Not a professional service.

Stone Cleaning in Steiner Ranch: Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Both are calcium based stones that react to acidic products, so they need a gentler, neutral approach than concrete does. We adjust the cleaner, dwell time and pressure to suit them. Pool surrounds, garden walls and front entries made of these stones are some of the surfaces we clean most often.
For most homes, once a year keeps stone looking fresh. Pool decks, shaded patios and busy walkways may need cleaning more often, since moisture and foot traffic bring growth and grime back faster. Many homeowners book after cedar pollen season or before summer gatherings, when the outdoor space gets the most use.
We choose eco-friendly, stone-safe products and protect nearby beds before we start. Plants are wetted down and rinsed again after cleaning. Keep pets inside while we work and until the stone has been rinsed. Around pools, we manage runoff carefully and rinse the deck so residue does not collect near the water.
About 9.5 miles in a straight line from our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in Austin. Steiner Ranch is part of our regular service area.
Some stone handles moderate pressure, and some does not. Travertine, limestone and slate can pit, flake or etch if hit with a narrow, high pressure tip or a harsh chemical. We pair low, controlled pressure with a stone-safe cleaner chosen for the material, which cleans the surface without roughening or discoloring it.
Many stains lift with the right pretreatment, including algae, pollen film and most everyday dirt. Deep rust, old oil and some mineral marks are harder, and they may lighten without disappearing. We point out those spots during the walkthrough so you know what to expect before we begin any work.
The aim is to reveal the original color of the stone, not alter it. Many homeowners are surprised by how much warmth returns once the pollen film and grime are gone. Cleaning evenly across the whole surface is what prevents light or dark patches, so every section should dry to a matching tone.
The shaded and north-facing sides of a home stay damp longer, and humid air near the lakes helps algae grow there first. A soft wash clears it without the risk that high pressure brings.
