Clean Green Power Washing

Deck Cleaning in Steiner Ranch, TX

Deck Cleaning in Steiner Ranch, TX with a low-pressure method matched to every surface, from our shop on Pond Springs Road. Free quotes, Monday to Saturday.

Deck Cleaning for Steiner Ranch Homes

Steiner Ranch covers 4,600 acres on a ridge in a bend of the Colorado River, between Lake Travis and Lake Austin. Its 5,719 homes live with strong sun, lake-country humidity and hillside runoff, all of which leave their marks on an exterior.

Gray boards, slick green patches near the steps, and a haze of pollen that never quite rinses off: that is how many decks in Steiner Ranch look after a year or two of Texas weather. Cleaning is how you get the wood, stain or paint back to its real color, and how you keep the surface pleasant to walk on. Clean Green Power Washing handles wood, stained, painted and composite decks with soft washing and careful pressure, never a blast that tears up the grain. Fences can join the same visit whenever you ask. Before we start, a tech walks the deck with you, checks for loose boards or older finishes, and covers the plants along the edges. We are open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM. Phone (512) 662-8422 to book a free quote.

Wood, Composite and Finished Decks We Handle

Older Decks With Some Wear

Aging decks often have raised nail heads, a few loose boards or a finish that has half worn off. We look for all of that before we start and work around it with care. You get a cleaner surface without splintered edges, and we will mention anything that looked like it needs a repair down the road.

Semi-Transparent and Solid Stains

Whether your deck carries a see-through stain or a solid color, the cleaning should refresh it, not remove it. We match the mix to the product on the boards and keep the wand at a safe distance. The result is richer color, crisper grain and a surface that finally feels clean underfoot again.

Fences on the Same Trip

Many homeowners ask us to finish the fence while the equipment is already set up. Wood privacy fences, vinyl runs and composite panels all collect green growth along the bottom and dust on the faces. We clean them in steady sections so each run dries to an even color, not a pattern of stripes.

Composite, Vinyl and Wood Fencing

Composite decking, vinyl fence panels and wood privacy fences each react differently to water and cleaner. We change tips, pressure and dwell time for each one instead of treating the whole yard the same way. If you would like the fence included, just say so when you book, and it will be done during the same visit.

5 Common Deck Problems We Clean in Steiner Ranch

Shade, heat, sprinkler spray and seasonal pollen all leave their own marks on a deck. Here is what we usually find when we walk a backyard in Steiner Ranch, and what a careful cleaning does about each one. With water on two sides of the Steiner Ranch ridge, humid air and shaded slopes give organic growth a head start on north-facing walls and roof planes.

Weathered Gray Fibers

When untreated wood sits in the Texas sun, the top layer oxidizes and turns gray. Blasting it with high pressure lifts the grain and leaves the deck rough. We pretreat first, then use a soft rinse so the loose gray layer comes off and the board beneath stays smooth.

Grime on Railings and Stairs

Hands, shoes and blowing dust leave a gray band along rails, stair treads and the edges where boards meet the house. These areas are easy to miss with a quick spray. We give them focused attention so they match the open deck instead of standing out as the dirtiest part.

A Slick Surface Underfoot

After a few rainy weeks, a shaded deck can feel greasy when you step on it. That slickness is a thin layer of organic film. Removing it makes the deck safer for kids, guests and older family members, and it takes away the musty smell that often comes with it.

Pollen Film After Spring

Every spring a yellow-green dust coats outdoor surfaces, then rain turns it into a sticky layer. Over months it darkens and traps more dirt. A proper cleaning removes the whole layer at once, leaving boards and furniture areas that feel clean instead of gritty when you walk barefoot.

Streaks on the Fence Line

Fences pick up a dark stripe where water runs down the boards, plus green growth along the bottom rail near the soil. If you add the fence to your visit, we treat those areas first and then clean in even sections so the finished run has no tiger stripes.

Why Steiner Ranch Homeowners Choose Us

Homeowners in Steiner Ranch call us for the same reasons our Austin customers do: a careful method, a crew that treats the property with respect and a quote that says exactly what will be done.

Low Pressure Where It Belongs

Paint, siding, shingles and soft stone are cleaned with a soft wash: low pressure and a cleaning solution that breaks down the growth, so the surface comes clean without being worn down. Concrete gets surface cleaning equipment instead.

An Eco-Friendly Way to Clean

Clean Green was built around eco-friendly exterior cleaning. We choose solutions for the surface in front of us, use only what the job needs, and rinse plants and beds so the yard is left the way we found it.

A Local Shop Since 2018

Bryan Gerhold founded Clean Green in 2018, and our crews work out of our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in Austin. We are open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM.

Every job starts with a look at the surfaces, the stains and the landscaping, so the method fits the property instead of the other way around. You know what we plan to do before we start.

How Our Deck Cleaning Process Works

You should know what happens on your property before we arrive. This is our method from start to finish, and we are glad to walk you through any step while we are on site.

1. Inspect the Deck Together

The visit opens with a short inspection. We confirm what the deck is made of, check for older boards, loose panels or exposed nails, and look at what is actually on the surface. That quick survey decides which cleaner, tip and pressure we use for the rest of the job.

2. Break Down the Growth

A pretreatment goes on the boards, rails and fence faces. It works into algae, mildew and grime so they release evenly. That step lowers how much force the wash needs, which matters on wood, since high pressure can shred the grain and leave permanent marks.

3. Controlled Wash for Each Material

With the growth softened, the crew washes using a pressure and technique suited to each surface. Composite gets a different approach than wood pickets or painted rails. Steady, even passes keep the color uniform so the deck does not dry in bands or blotches.

4. Board by Board, Section by Section

Decks are washed along the length of each board, with close attention to spindles, stair treads and the perimeter. Fences are cleaned in matching sections so every panel dries to the same tone. Nothing gets a quick pass that would stand out later.

5. Rinse the Landscaping and Tidy Up

Plants, shrubs and flower beds near the work area get a thorough freshwater rinse at the end. Any leaves or debris kicked loose are cleared away. You are left with a clean deck and a yard that looks the way it did before we arrived, only brighter.

Deck Cleaning Pricing in Steiner Ranch

How much will your deck cost to clean? The honest answer is that it depends on what we find. Deck size, the number of levels and stairs, the type of board, the condition of any stain or paint, and how deep the growth goes all factor in. We also consider how easy the deck is to reach and where we can connect to water. Adding a fence changes the quote based on its length and the material. Quotes for Steiner Ranch properties are always free. We confirm the price after a walkthrough or after reviewing photos, never before. If other parts of the home need attention, such as siding or windows, those can be scheduled in the same visit. Phone (512) 662-8422 for your free quote.

Serving Steiner Ranch From Our Pond Springs Road Shop

Steiner Ranch is a planned community and census-designated place in Travis County, 18 miles by road northwest of downtown Austin. Developer Al Hughes bought the land from the Steiner family in the late 1980s. The community sits on a 4,600-acre ridge on the north side of the Colorado River, between Lake Travis and Lake Austin, and it is part of Leander Independent School District.

At the 2020 census Steiner Ranch counted 16,713 residents and 5,719 housing units. Life between two lakes means views and breezes, and also damp air and shaded slopes that let algae and mildew settle on siding, roofs, fences and hardscape.

Steiner Ranch is about 9.5 miles from our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd as the crow flies, and it is part of our regular service area.

We serve Steiner Ranch along with the other communities on our service areas page, all from the same crew that handles pressure washing in Austin.

I would say for the price I paid, $800. Only one layer of coating on top and no brush on edges or under the coping stones is extremely disappointing. I could do this top layer coating with a roller for a fraction of the cost myself. Not a professional service.

Deck Cleaning in Steiner Ranch: Frequently Asked Questions

We do. Composite and capped boards resist rot, but they still collect mildew, pollen film and chalky residue over time. We use a mild cleaner and a wide spray pattern that suits the material, so the planks come up evenly without streaks or scuffs on the embossed texture that gives them their wood look.
Our eco-friendly approach includes protecting your landscaping. We wet down and rinse plants and beds near the deck, and we give everything a final freshwater rinse when the work is done. For pets, we ask that they stay inside during the cleaning and until the surfaces have had a chance to dry.
Yes, when the method matches the finish. We lower the pressure, use a cleaner that is gentle on coatings and keep the wand at a safe distance so the color brightens rather than peels. If the stain or paint was already flaking before we arrived, we will show you those spots during the walkthrough.
About 9.5 miles in a straight line from our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in Austin. Steiner Ranch is part of our regular service area.
That problem comes from too much pressure held too close to the board. Our process leans on pretreatment to loosen the dirt, so the wash itself can stay gentle. The grain stays flat, and the deck feels smooth when you walk on it. Older boards with damage get extra care around the weak spots.
For most decks, a yearly cleaning keeps grime and growth from settling in. Decks in heavy shade, under trees or near sprinklers may need attention more often, since those spots stay damp and turn green faster. We can suggest a schedule after we see how your deck sits in the yard and how quickly it gets dirty.
Yes. Stain and sealer grip clean wood far better than wood coated in pollen, dust or algae. A proper cleaning helps the new coat soak in evenly and last longer. If you are planning to restain, tell us, and we will schedule the cleaning so the boards have time to dry before your painter or stain crew arrives.
The shaded and north-facing sides of a home stay damp longer, and humid air near the lakes helps algae grow there first. A soft wash clears it without the risk that high pressure brings.
