Gutter Cleaning for Round Rock Homes

Round Rock straddles the Balcones Escarpment about 15 miles north of Austin. East of I-35 the land is flat Blackland Prairie with black, fertile soil; to the west it turns into rocky Hill Country. That split shows up on the outside of Round Rock homes.

Water is supposed to leave your roof, travel along the gutter, drop through the downspout and move away from the foundation. When any part of that path is packed with debris, the plan falls apart. Around Round Rock, trees shed leaves and seed pods through most of the year, and storms push clumps of material into corners where they settle hard. Our crew fixes that by lifting the buildup out by hand, breaking up the compacted layer at the bottom of the trough, and making sure each downspout drains freely from top to bottom. Clean Green Power Washing has worked on Central Texas homes since 2018, with an eco-friendly approach and a careful eye on the plants and beds below your roofline. Reach us at (512) 662-8422 Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM, and ask for a free gutter quote.

Parts of the Gutter System We Clean

Gutter Runs Along the Eaves

The long horizontal troughs catch everything that slides off the roof. Over months, leaves and twigs settle into a layer, and pollen and dust fill the gaps between them until the whole thing packs down like wet soil. We scoop that material out by hand along the full length of each run, including stretches over porches and garage doors that are easy to forget.

Drain Pipes Running Down the Walls

A downspout is a narrow pipe with several bends, and that shape makes it easy to plug. Seed pods, twigs and packed grit get stuck at elbows where the pipe turns. When that happens, rain backs up into the gutter and spills over. We test the flow through each pipe and clear anything lodged inside until water runs out freely at ground level.

Corners and Roof Valleys

Where two roof slopes meet, the valley funnels a heavy stream of water and debris into one short section of gutter. Corners collect the same way, since the flow slows and material drops out there. These are usually the first spots to clog after a storm, so we give them extra time and clear the compacted clumps completely before moving on.

The Roof Edge and Fascia Board

The fascia is the wood trim the gutter hangs from, and it takes the damage when water spills backward or over the lip. During our walkthrough we look for stains, peeling paint and soft spots that hint at a long-running overflow. If we see signs of sagging or rot, we point them out so you know about them early.

5 Common Gutter Problems We Clean in Round Rock

Clogged gutters rarely stay a gutter problem. The water they fail to carry ends up on your trim, your siding and the soil around the slab. These are the five issues we see most often before a cleaning. On the east side of Round Rock, the black prairie soil splashes onto lower walls and gets tracked across drives and walkways; on the west side, thin soil over rock means fast runoff that carries grit across hard surfaces.

Wood Trim That Stays Wet

Boards around the roofline were never meant to stay damp. Repeated overflow keeps them wet, and before long you see darker paint, bubbling, and wood that feels spongy to the touch. Clean gutters keep that water in the channel and give the trim a chance to stay dry and sound.

Stained and Rotting Fascia

Overflow runs down the fascia board and trim behind the gutter. Over time that leaves dark streaks, peeling paint and, eventually, soft wood that starts to rot. Keeping water inside the gutter is the simplest way to protect those boards from months of repeated soaking.

Moisture Lingering at the Roof Edge

Gutters that hold water keep the lower edge of the roof wet much longer than it should be. That damp zone gives moisture a chance to reach vulnerable spots around the eaves. Clearing the channel lets the roof edge dry out between rains instead of staying soaked for days.

Gutters Pulling Away From the House

A trough loaded with wet debris can weigh far more than it was designed to hold. Brackets bend, screws loosen, and the gutter begins to tilt or droop. Emptying that weight takes the strain off the hangers, and we will tell you if a section already looks loose.

Sagging Sections From Extra Weight

Wet leaves, sludge and standing water are heavy. When a gutter holds that load for weeks, the hangers strain and a section can start to pull away from the roofline or bow in the middle. A light, empty gutter puts far less stress on its fasteners and the fascia it hangs from.

Why Round Rock Homeowners Choose Us

Homeowners in Round Rock call us for the same reasons our Austin customers do: a careful method, a crew that treats the property with respect and a quote that says exactly what will be done.

Low Pressure Where It Belongs

Paint, siding, shingles and soft stone are cleaned with a soft wash: low pressure and a cleaning solution that breaks down the growth, so the surface comes clean without being worn down. Concrete gets surface cleaning equipment instead.

An Eco-Friendly Way to Clean

Clean Green was built around eco-friendly exterior cleaning. We choose solutions for the surface in front of us, use only what the job needs, and rinse plants and beds so the yard is left the way we found it.

A Local Shop Since 2018

Bryan Gerhold founded Clean Green in 2018, and our crews work out of our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in Austin. We are open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM.

How Our Gutter Cleaning Process Works

You do not have to guess what happens once the ladders go up. These five steps are what a gutter cleaning from Clean Green Power Washing looks like from start to finish.

1. Walkthrough of the Gutter Line

We start by walking around the house and looking at the whole gutter system. We note where the heaviest buildup sits, which is often at valleys, corners and downspouts. We also look at the fascia, the plants below and anything nearby that needs protecting during the work.

2. Hand Removal of Loose Debris

Next we lift leaves, twigs and seed pods out of each trough by hand. This keeps material from being pushed deeper into the downspouts or scattered across your roof. Removed debris goes into bags or onto a tarp instead of being dropped straight onto the yard below.

3. Scrape Out the Compacted Sludge

Pollen and dust that settle in a damp gutter turn into a thick, stubborn film at the bottom. We scrape and lift that material out along the full length of the trough. Leaving it would mean the gutter holds water and fills up again much sooner than it should.

4. Flow Check Through Each Pipe

A trough that looks empty can still spill over if its downspout is plugged. So we check every pipe, clear what is lodged at the top or in the elbows, and watch the water come out at the bottom. Full drainage from roof to ground is the finish line for this step.

5. Tidy Yard, Finished Job

We do not consider the work done until the ground is clean too. Our team collects fallen debris from the lawn, beds and hard surfaces and leaves the area around the foundation clear. You get working gutters and a yard that looks the way you left it.

Gutter Cleaning Pricing in Round Rock

Every gutter cleaning quote we give in Round Rock starts with your actual home. The main things that shape the price are the total length of the gutter line, how many stories the house has, the pitch and layout of the roof, and how much debris has built up since the last cleaning. Homes under heavy tree cover or with many corners and valleys take longer, and so do downspouts that are packed solid. Easy or tricky access around the house also plays a part. The quote is free. We set the price after we see the property in person or look over a few clear photos you send. If you also want the house washed, the driveway cleaned or the windows done, we can schedule those for the same visit. Call (512) 662-8422 to get started.

Serving Round Rock From Our Pond Springs Road Shop

Round Rock is a city of 119,468 people, according to the 2020 census, spread across Williamson and Travis counties. It sits right on the Balcones Escarpment, the line between the flat, fertile Blackland Prairie east of I-35 and the hilly, karst-like Hill Country terrain to the west, where there is little topsoil over the rock.

Those two landscapes leave different marks on a house. Dark soil from the prairie side ends up on the bottom of siding and on concrete after every rain. On the Hill Country side, water moves fast and brings grit with it. In both places, shaded walls and roof planes grow algae during humid months.

Round Rock is about 7.5 miles from our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in a straight line, and we serve neighborhoods on both sides of I-35.

We serve Round Rock along with the other communities on our service areas page, all from the same crew that handles pressure washing in Austin.

I would say for the price I paid, $800. Only one layer of coating on top and no brush on edges or under the coping stones is extremely disappointing. I could do this top layer coating with a roller for a fraction of the cost myself. Not a professional service.

Gutter Cleaning in Round Rock: Frequently Asked Questions

We look for bent hangers, loose sections and drooping runs during the walkthrough and while we clean. If we spot damage, we show you what we found so you can decide on next steps. Removing the heavy debris often takes a lot of strain off a sagging gutter, but a damaged section may still need repair.
Many homeowners book after the heaviest leaf drop in late fall and again in spring, before storm season picks up. It is also smart to call after a big wind or rain event that left debris on the roof. If your gutters went through the winter without attention, spring is a good time to catch up.
Yes, every time. A clear trough does little good if the pipe below it is plugged, because water will still back up and spill over the edge. We check each downspout, clear anything stuck at the top or in the bends, and confirm water flows out at the bottom before we call the job finished.
In most cases, yes. Soil splash and tracked dirt respond well to pre-treatment and a thorough rinse. We look at the stain on the walkthrough and tell you what to expect before we start.
We remove debris by hand, so there is no harsh spray blasting across your beds. Before starting, we look at the landscaping below each section and work carefully around shrubs and flowers. We do ask that pets stay inside or in a separate area while the crew is on ladders, simply to keep everyone safe and calm.
It depends on the size of the house, the number of stories, and how packed the gutters are. A small single-story home with light debris goes quickly, while a larger house with heavy buildup and several downspouts takes longer. We give you a time estimate along with the free quote so you can plan your day around it.
Most homes do well with two cleanings a year, one in spring and one in fall. If your house sits under oaks, pines or cedars, or storms regularly drop debris on your roof, you may need a third visit. We can look at how fast your gutters fill and suggest a schedule that fits your trees and roofline.
