Clean Green Power Washing

Deck Cleaning in Round Rock, TX

Deck Cleaning in Round Rock, TX with a low-pressure method matched to every surface, from our shop on Pond Springs Road. Free quotes, Monday to Saturday.

Deck Cleaning for Round Rock Homes

Round Rock straddles the Balcones Escarpment about 15 miles north of Austin. East of I-35 the land is flat Blackland Prairie with black, fertile soil; to the west it turns into rocky Hill Country. That split shows up on the outside of Round Rock homes.

Gray boards, slick green patches near the steps, and a haze of pollen that never quite rinses off: that is how many decks in Round Rock look after a year or two of Texas weather. Cleaning is how you get the wood, stain or paint back to its real color, and how you keep the surface pleasant to walk on. Clean Green Power Washing handles wood, stained, painted and composite decks with soft washing and careful pressure, never a blast that tears up the grain. Fences can join the same visit whenever you ask. Before we start, a tech walks the deck with you, checks for loose boards or older finishes, and covers the plants along the edges. We are open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM. Phone (512) 662-8422 to book a free quote.

Every Kind of Deck (and the Fence Too)

Bare Wood Decks

Unfinished wood soaks up moisture and pollen, then turns a flat silver gray. We start with a pretreatment that loosens the film, then rinse with a light touch so the fibers lie flat instead of standing up. The goal is a clean, even tone across every board, with no fuzzy spots or wand marks left behind for you to sand later.

Older Decks With Some Wear

Aging decks often have raised nail heads, a few loose boards or a finish that has half worn off. We look for all of that before we start and work around it with care. You get a cleaner surface without splintered edges, and we will mention anything that looked like it needs a repair down the road.

Decks With a Stain or Paint Finish

Finished decks are where careless washing does the most harm. Our crew reads the coating first, then sets pressure low enough that stain and paint stay firmly attached. Railings, stair treads and fascia boards are cleaned at the same gentle setting, so the whole structure brightens together instead of one section looking stripped.

Semi-Transparent and Solid Stains

Whether your deck carries a see-through stain or a solid color, the cleaning should refresh it, not remove it. We match the mix to the product on the boards and keep the wand at a safe distance. The result is richer color, crisper grain and a surface that finally feels clean underfoot again.

5 Common Deck Problems We Clean in Round Rock

Most decks show the same handful of problems once the weather has had its way. These are the five we clean most often, and each one calls for a slightly different approach so the boards come up evenly. On the east side of Round Rock, the black prairie soil splashes onto lower walls and gets tracked across drives and walkways; on the west side, thin soil over rock means fast runoff that carries grit across hard surfaces.

Gray, Tired Boards

Sun and rain break down the surface of wood until it looks dull and silvery. Much of that gray is loose fiber and dirt sitting on top. Our pretreatment lifts it, and a gentle rinse carries it away, so the boards show their warmer color again without being gouged.

Black Spots and Mildew

Tiny black dots on boards and railings are usually mildew colonies. They show up in shady spots and on surfaces that stay wet under planters or furniture. Our cleaner kills the growth at the surface, and the rinse takes away the stain it left, rather than just moving it around.

Dirt Trapped at the Edges

Where decking meets the house wall, around posts and under the lip of each stair, grime piles up in thick lines. These edges are the first thing people notice once the middle is clean. We slow down on them and work each edge with the wand until it matches.

Pollen and Dust in the Gaps

Cedar pollen and fine dust settle into the grooves and seams, then hold moisture against the wood. Left alone, that film feeds mildew. A thorough clean clears the gaps as well as the tops of the boards, which helps the deck dry faster after the next storm.

Green Bands at the Base of the Fence

Fence boards that touch mulch or grass stay damp and grow a green line along the bottom. The sunny side often looks fine while the shady side looks neglected. When the fence joins the visit, we treat both faces and clean in sections so the color comes out even.

Why Round Rock Homeowners Choose Us

Homeowners in Round Rock call us for the same reasons our Austin customers do: a careful method, a crew that treats the property with respect and a quote that says exactly what will be done.

Low Pressure Where It Belongs

Paint, siding, shingles and soft stone are cleaned with a soft wash: low pressure and a cleaning solution that breaks down the growth, so the surface comes clean without being worn down. Concrete gets surface cleaning equipment instead.

An Eco-Friendly Way to Clean

Clean Green was built around eco-friendly exterior cleaning. We choose solutions for the surface in front of us, use only what the job needs, and rinse plants and beds so the yard is left the way we found it.

A Local Shop Since 2018

Bryan Gerhold founded Clean Green in 2018, and our crews work out of our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in Austin. We are open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM.

How Our Deck Cleaning Process Works

You should know what happens on your property before we arrive. This is our method from start to finish, and we are glad to walk you through any step while we are on site.

1. Inspect the Deck Together

The visit opens with a short inspection. We confirm what the deck is made of, check for older boards, loose panels or exposed nails, and look at what is actually on the surface. That quick survey decides which cleaner, tip and pressure we use for the rest of the job.

2. Pretreating the Buildup

Before any rinse, we apply a cleaner that breaks down organic growth and grime. Giving it time to work means the dirt releases evenly across the surface. It also means we can keep the pressure low, which protects the wood grain and helps prevent streaks and lap marks.

3. Wash at a Measured Setting

Next comes the main wash. The pressure is set for your specific surface and held steady across the whole deck. Finished boards get extra caution so the stain or paint brightens without lifting. This consistency is what keeps the dried result free of wand marks.

4. Board by Board, Section by Section

Decks are washed along the length of each board, with close attention to spindles, stair treads and the perimeter. Fences are cleaned in matching sections so every panel dries to the same tone. Nothing gets a quick pass that would stand out later.

5. Final Rinse and Cleanup

To finish, we rinse the plants and beds around the deck and wash away any debris that landed nearby. The yard is left tidy, with no spray residue on the lawn or the siding. Before we leave, we look over the result with you if you are home.

Deck Cleaning Pricing in Round Rock

Every deck in Round Rock is quoted on its own, because no two are the same. The main things that shape the price are the square footage of the deck, the number of stairs and railings, and what the boards are made of. Stained or painted surfaces take more care, and heavy algae or mildew means more pretreatment and time. Access plays a part too, such as tight side yards or a second-story deck. If you want the fence cleaned on the same trip, its length and height are added in. The quote is free. We set the price after we see the property in person or look over a few photos you send. You can also book house washing or other exterior cleaning during the same visit. Call (512) 662-8422 to get started.

Serving Round Rock From Our Pond Springs Road Shop

Round Rock is a city of 119,468 people, according to the 2020 census, spread across Williamson and Travis counties. It sits right on the Balcones Escarpment, the line between the flat, fertile Blackland Prairie east of I-35 and the hilly, karst-like Hill Country terrain to the west, where there is little topsoil over the rock.

Those two landscapes leave different marks on a house. Dark soil from the prairie side ends up on the bottom of siding and on concrete after every rain. On the Hill Country side, water moves fast and brings grit with it. In both places, shaded walls and roof planes grow algae during humid months.

Round Rock is about 7.5 miles from our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in a straight line, and we serve neighborhoods on both sides of I-35.

We serve Round Rock along with the other communities on our service areas page, all from the same crew that handles pressure washing in Austin.

I would say for the price I paid, $800. Only one layer of coating on top and no brush on edges or under the coping stones is extremely disappointing. I could do this top layer coating with a roller for a fraction of the cost myself. Not a professional service.

Deck Cleaning in Round Rock: Frequently Asked Questions

For most decks, a yearly cleaning keeps grime and growth from settling in. Decks in heavy shade, under trees or near sprinklers may need attention more often, since those spots stay damp and turn green faster. We can suggest a schedule after we see how your deck sits in the yard and how quickly it gets dirty.
Most dirt, algae and mildew rinse away completely. A few things can remain, such as rust rings from old furniture, dark shadows from leaves that sat for months, or wood that has worn unevenly. We point these out during the walkthrough so you know what to expect, and we explain your options honestly.
We do. Composite and capped boards resist rot, but they still collect mildew, pollen film and chalky residue over time. We use a mild cleaner and a wide spray pattern that suits the material, so the planks come up evenly without streaks or scuffs on the embossed texture that gives them their wood look.
In most cases, yes. Soil splash and tracked dirt respond well to pre-treatment and a thorough rinse. We look at the stain on the walkthrough and tell you what to expect before we start.
Yes. Stain and sealer grip clean wood far better than wood coated in pollen, dust or algae. A proper cleaning helps the new coat soak in evenly and last longer. If you are planning to restain, tell us, and we will schedule the cleaning so the boards have time to dry before your painter or stain crew arrives.
Our eco-friendly approach includes protecting your landscaping. We wet down and rinse plants and beds near the deck, and we give everything a final freshwater rinse when the work is done. For pets, we ask that they stay inside during the cleaning and until the surfaces have had a chance to dry.
Not necessarily. Many homeowners are at work or running errands during the visit. We just need access to the backyard, the deck, any fence being cleaned, and an outdoor water spigot. We confirm those details before the appointment and let you know when everything is finished and the gate is closed behind us.
Yes. We work across Round Rock, east and west of I-35. Call (512) 662-8422 for a free quote.
