House Washing for Rollingwood Homes

Rollingwood is a small city of 1,467 people on 0.7 square mile, just three miles west of downtown Austin. Close to the city but on the hilly side of the Balcones Fault, its homes deal with Central Texas humidity, pollen and hillside runoff.

A house in Rollingwood collects more on its walls than most people notice until the light hits it at a low angle. Spring brings a yellow coat of cedar pollen. Summer adds dust that clings to every ledge. After a humid week, a thin green film creeps across the north wall and under the eaves. Clean Green Power Washing has cleaned homes across Central Texas since 2018, and our house washing service rests on one idea: let a gentle cleaning solution do the heavy work, then rinse at low pressure so paint, trim and stucco stay intact. We walk the property first, protect your plants, and wash every side evenly so the whole house dries to one consistent color. Call (512) 662-8422 for a free quote on house washing in Rollingwood.

Surfaces We Clean on a Typical House Wash

Lower Walls and Foundation Lines

The bottom few feet of any wall take a beating. Rain splashes soil up onto the siding, and sprinklers leave white mineral spots behind. We treat this band on every side of the home so it matches the upper walls, and we keep the rinse angled away from the slab and the weep screed along the base of any stucco.

Porch Ceilings and Overhangs

Covered patios and porch ceilings trap moisture and attract insects, so they tend to gather mildew spots, cobwebs and mud dauber nests. We wash them from below with a gentle spray, taking care around ceiling fans, light fixtures and outlets, then rinse the walls and floor beneath so nothing drips onto a freshly cleaned surface later.

Stucco, Brick and Stone Accents

Masonry and stucco are porous, so they hold onto algae and dust deeper than smooth siding does. High pressure can chip texture, erode mortar joints and drive water into cracks. Soft washing lets the solution reach into the pores and lift the growth out, then a low rinse carries it away while the texture and joints stay intact.

Mixed Material Exteriors

Plenty of houses combine two or three materials: stone on the lower level, siding above, painted trim everywhere. Each one reacts differently to water and cleaning products. Our walkthrough notes where one material ends and the next begins, so the approach on stucco is not the approach on wood trim, and the whole house still finishes evenly.

5 Common Siding Problems We Clean in Rollingwood

Central Texas weather is hard on siding. Heat, humidity, pollen seasons and wet spells each leave their own mark, and a single wall can carry several at once. These are the five we get asked about most. Rollingwood sits three miles west of downtown on the hilly side of Austin, where limestone under thin topsoil sends rain across hard surfaces quickly after a storm.

Yellow Cedar Pollen Film

Each winter and spring, cedar pollen coats everything in a fine yellow dust. On siding it mixes with humidity and turns sticky, so it does not simply blow away with the next breeze. A proper wash dissolves that film and lets the true color of the paint show again.

Algae Behind Landscaping

Shrubs, vines and flower beds planted close to the house hold moisture against the walls and block airflow. That is prime ground for algae. We wet down the plants, treat the wall behind them with low pressure, and rinse the foliage afterward so it stays healthy.

Mildew on Soffits and Trim

Mildew shows up as small gray or black spots, usually on the underside of eaves and on trim boards that never dry fully. It can look like plain dirt, but it keeps growing if left alone. Soft washing reaches these areas and treats them without flooding the attic vents.

Chalky Sprinkler Spots

Irrigation water in this region is often hard, and when it hits the lower walls over and over, the minerals dry into white or tan spots. They are stubborn. We treat them as part of the wash and will tell you honestly if old spotting has etched into the finish.

Stains on Porous Stone and Stucco

Stone and stucco soak up color from algae, dirt and water, so staining can sit below the surface. Low pressure and the right solution pull most of it out. If some of it runs deep or is tied to the age of the material, we point that out during the walkthrough.

Why Rollingwood Homeowners Choose Us

Homeowners in Rollingwood call us for the same reasons our Austin customers do: a careful method, a crew that treats the property with respect and a quote that says exactly what will be done.

Low Pressure Where It Belongs

Paint, siding, shingles and soft stone are cleaned with a soft wash: low pressure and a cleaning solution that breaks down the growth, so the surface comes clean without being worn down. Concrete gets surface cleaning equipment instead.

An Eco-Friendly Way to Clean

Clean Green was built around eco-friendly exterior cleaning. We choose solutions for the surface in front of us, use only what the job needs, and rinse plants and beds so the yard is left the way we found it.

A Local Shop Since 2018

Bryan Gerhold founded Clean Green in 2018, and our crews work out of our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in Austin. We are open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM.

A Walkthrough Before the Water Goes On

Every job starts with a look at the surfaces, the stains and the landscaping, so the method fits the property instead of the other way around. You know what we plan to do before we start.

How Our House Washing Process Works

Our method is simple on purpose: understand the surfaces, protect what is around them, clean gently, and check the finish. The five steps below show how that plays out at your home.

1. Walkthrough and Surface Check

We start by walking around the house, with you or on our own if you are away. We note each material, from siding to stone, and identify what is actually causing the discoloration, whether that is pollen film, algae, mildew or runoff. That tells us which mix and dwell time to use.

2. Prep the Landscaping

Flower beds, shrubs and lawn edges get a thorough soaking with clean water so they are protected from the cleaning mix. We also close windows, cover sensitive fixtures if needed, and lay our hoses so they do not crush plants or block walkways while we work.

3. Soft Wash Treatment

With the area ready, we apply a professional cleaning solution using low pressure. It spreads evenly across siding, soffits and trim without the force that peels paint or chips stucco. We move in a steady pattern around the home so every surface gets the same treatment and nothing is skipped.

4. Let the Solution Work

Instead of scrubbing or blasting, we give the treatment time to dissolve algae, mildew and grime. On hot days we manage this closely so nothing dries on the surface too soon. Shaded walls with heavier growth may get a second application if the first one has not fully released it.

5. Careful Rinse and Final Look

We rinse from the top down with low pressure so water does not get forced into seams or behind panels. Once the house begins to dry, we walk it again, checking for streaks, missed spots or uneven patches, and touch up anything that needs it before we pack up.

House Washing Pricing in Rollingwood

Every house washing quote we give in Rollingwood is free, and it is built around your actual home rather than a flat rate. The main factors are the size of the house and how many stories it has, since taller walls take more time and more careful setup. The materials matter too: stone, stucco and painted trim each need their own handling. Heavy algae on shaded sides or years of runoff streaks add time compared to a light pollen film. Access plays a part as well, such as tight side yards, steep slopes or dense landscaping along the walls. We set the price once we have seen the property in person or reviewed a few clear photos. If you also want the driveway, windows or roof cleaned, we can schedule them for the same visit. Call (512) 662-8422 to start.

Booking more than one service? We also offer roof cleaning in Rollingwood, driveway cleaning in Rollingwood, window cleaning in Rollingwood, gutter cleaning in Rollingwood, deck cleaning in Rollingwood and stone cleaning in Rollingwood, and every service we cover is listed on our exterior cleaning services page.

Serving Rollingwood From Our Pond Springs Road Shop

Rollingwood is a city in Travis County and part of the Austin to Round Rock metro. It counted 1,467 residents at the 2020 census, and it covers 0.7 square mile, all of it land, three miles west of downtown Austin. The city has its own entry in the Handbook of Texas Online.

West of the Balcones Fault, the Austin area rises into rolling hills of limestone with a thin layer of topsoil. In a small, hilly city like Rollingwood that means water moves fast after rain, shaded walls stay damp, and long humid summers give algae and mildew time to settle on siding, roofs, fences and stone.

Rollingwood is about 12 miles from our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in a straight line, and we serve homes across the city.

We serve Rollingwood along with the other communities on our service areas page, all from the same crew that handles pressure washing in Austin.

I would say for the price I paid, $800. Only one layer of coating on top and no brush on edges or under the coping stones is extremely disappointing. I could do this top layer coating with a roller for a fraction of the cost myself. Not a professional service.

House Washing in Rollingwood: Frequently Asked Questions

No, as long as we can reach every side of the house. Many customers are at work while we clean. We will need gates unlocked, pets secured indoors and an outdoor water spigot available. We confirm these details before the visit and let you know when the job wraps up, so you can see the results when you get home.
For most homes, a yearly wash keeps the exterior looking fresh. Houses with a lot of shade, heavy tree cover or a big dose of cedar pollen each season may do well with a wash every six to nine months, since growth returns faster where walls stay damp. We can look at your property and suggest a schedule that fits how quickly it gets dirty.
Pressure washing uses a strong stream of water to strip dirt from hard surfaces like concrete. Soft washing uses cleaning solutions at low pressure, letting the solution break down growth and grime rather than relying on force. For siding, stucco, painted trim and stone, soft washing is the safer choice, which is why we use it for house washing.
Yes. Rollingwood is part of our service area, about 12 miles from our Pond Springs Road shop in a straight line. Call (512) 662-8422 for a free quote.
Soft washing is designed to avoid that. It uses low pressure, so there is no force strong enough to peel sound paint, chip stucco texture or push water behind the siding. If paint is already flaking or failing before we arrive, we will point it out during the walkthrough, since any wash can loosen a coating that is barely holding on.
Most homes are finished in a few hours. The exact time depends on the size of the house, how many stories it has and how much buildup is on the walls. A small single story home with light pollen goes quicker than a large house with heavy algae. When we book the visit, you get an honest estimate of how long we will be there.
Most algae, mildew, pollen and runoff stains come off with a proper soft wash. Some marks are different: rust, paint overspray, deep mineral etching or discoloration that has soaked into old stone over many seasons. We identify these during the walkthrough and tell you what should come off, what may lighten, and what is likely permanent before we start.
Yes. We serve homes across Rollingwood and plan the visit around the services you need. Tell us what you want cleaned and we will quote it together.
