Deck Cleaning for Pflugerville Homes

Pflugerville, 18 miles north of Austin, is a city of 65,191 people named for the German family that farmed the land from 1849. Its homes deal with the same heat, pollen and humidity as the rest of Central Texas, and they respond well to a regular exterior clean.

A deck in Pflugerville works hard for a few months and then quietly starts to look tired. The boards go gray, the shady corner turns green after a wet week, and the railings collect a film you only notice when guests arrive. Clean Green Power Washing brings those surfaces back with a soft, controlled wash that suits the material under your feet. We clean bare wood, stained and painted decks, and composite boards, and if your fence needs the same attention we can handle it on the same trip. Every job starts with a walkthrough so we know what the wood can take before any water touches it. Nearby plants get rinsed and protected as we go. Call (512) 662-8422 or send a few photos, and we will put together a free quote for your deck.

The Deck Surfaces We Clean

Bare Wood Decks

Unfinished wood soaks up moisture and pollen, then turns a flat silver gray. We start with a pretreatment that loosens the film, then rinse with a light touch so the fibers lie flat instead of standing up. The goal is a clean, even tone across every board, with no fuzzy spots or wand marks left behind for you to sand later.

Composite Boards That Look Chalky

Low maintenance does not mean no maintenance. Composite decking holds on to a pale haze, mildew freckles and dust that bakes on in the sun. A mild cleaner and a wide fan tip take it off without scuffing the embossed grain. When the rinse is done, the planks should show one consistent color from the door to the stairs.

Semi-Transparent and Solid Stains

Whether your deck carries a see-through stain or a solid color, the cleaning should refresh it, not remove it. We match the mix to the product on the boards and keep the wand at a safe distance. The result is richer color, crisper grain and a surface that finally feels clean underfoot again.

Composite Decking and Fences

Composite planks do not rot, but they do collect a chalky film, mildew spots and sticky pollen. We adjust the cleaner and the spray pattern so the boards come up even, with no streaks. If a wood privacy fence, a vinyl fence or composite panels border the deck, we can clean them on the same visit.

5 Common Deck Problems We Clean in Pflugerville

Not every stain on a deck is simple dirt. Some of it is living growth, some is mineral, and some is weathered wood. Knowing the difference is how we pick the right cleaner and the right pressure. Pflugerville is a city of 65,191 people, and across that many homes the same trouble spots come up again and again: the shaded side of the house, the lower wall behind the sprinklers, and the lane where the car parks.

Gray, Tired Boards

Sun and rain break down the surface of wood until it looks dull and silvery. Much of that gray is loose fiber and dirt sitting on top. Our pretreatment lifts it, and a gentle rinse carries it away, so the boards show their warmer color again without being gouged.

Weathered Gray Fibers

When untreated wood sits in the Texas sun, the top layer oxidizes and turns gray. Blasting it with high pressure lifts the grain and leaves the deck rough. We pretreat first, then use a soft rinse so the loose gray layer comes off and the board beneath stays smooth.

Green Patches in the Shade

Corners under trees and the north side of the house stay damp after rain, and algae moves in fast. Besides looking bad, those spots get slippery, especially on steps. We break the growth down before rinsing so it lets go evenly instead of leaving a faint green outline.

Grime on Railings and Stairs

Hands, shoes and blowing dust leave a gray band along rails, stair treads and the edges where boards meet the house. These areas are easy to miss with a quick spray. We give them focused attention so they match the open deck instead of standing out as the dirtiest part.

A Slick Surface Underfoot

After a few rainy weeks, a shaded deck can feel greasy when you step on it. That slickness is a thin layer of organic film. Removing it makes the deck safer for kids, guests and older family members, and it takes away the musty smell that often comes with it.

Why Pflugerville Homeowners Choose Us

Homeowners in Pflugerville call us for the same reasons our Austin customers do: a careful method, a crew that treats the property with respect and a quote that says exactly what will be done.

Low Pressure Where It Belongs

Paint, siding, shingles and soft stone are cleaned with a soft wash: low pressure and a cleaning solution that breaks down the growth, so the surface comes clean without being worn down. Concrete gets surface cleaning equipment instead.

An Eco-Friendly Way to Clean

Clean Green was built around eco-friendly exterior cleaning. We choose solutions for the surface in front of us, use only what the job needs, and rinse plants and beds so the yard is left the way we found it.

A Local Shop Since 2018

How Our Deck Cleaning Process Works

Deck cleaning goes well when each step is done in the right order. Here is how a typical visit runs, from the first look at your boards to the final rinse of the yard.

1. Walkthrough and Material Check

A tech looks over the deck, and the fence if it is included, to identify the material, the condition of the boards and the type of buildup. Pollen film calls for a different plan than algae. We also note stained or painted areas that need a softer approach.

2. Apply a Pretreatment First

Organic film does not come off cleanly with water alone. Our pretreatment soaks into the growth and loosens it, so the grime lets go in one even layer. Because the chemistry handles the hard part, the wash that follows can stay gentle on grain and finish.

3. Controlled Wash for Each Material

With the growth softened, the crew washes using a pressure and technique suited to each surface. Composite gets a different approach than wood pickets or painted rails. Steady, even passes keep the color uniform so the deck does not dry in bands or blotches.

4. Board by Board, Section by Section

Decks are washed along the length of each board, with close attention to spindles, stair treads and the perimeter. Fences are cleaned in matching sections so every panel dries to the same tone. Nothing gets a quick pass that would stand out later.

5. Rinse, Clear and Walk the Finished Deck

We rinse the surrounding landscaping, clear away debris that landed in beds or on the lawn, and leave the space ready to use. A final walk around the deck makes sure the finish is even and the edges match the middle before we pack up.

Deck Cleaning Pricing in Pflugerville

Pricing for deck cleaning is quote only, and the quote costs nothing. Send us photos or have us stop by, and we will give you a firm number once we have seen the actual surface. What moves the price? Size is the biggest factor, followed by the material and finish. A bare wood deck, a freshly stained one and a composite deck each need a different setup. Thick green growth, multiple levels, lots of spindles and hard-to-reach spots all add time. Fence sections are priced by how much fence there is and how dirty it is. Many Pflugerville homeowners pair the deck with a driveway, patio or house wash so everything is done in one trip. Ring (512) 662-8422 and tell us what you have in mind.

Booking more than one service? We also offer house washing in Pflugerville, roof cleaning in Pflugerville, driveway cleaning in Pflugerville, window cleaning in Pflugerville, gutter cleaning in Pflugerville and stone cleaning in Pflugerville, and every service we cover is listed on our exterior cleaning services page.

Serving Pflugerville From Our Pond Springs Road Shop

Pflugerville takes its name from the German settlers who farmed the area from 1849. The first was Henry Pfluger Sr., a German immigrant who lived from 1803 to 1867, who settled here with his family. The city was first incorporated in July 1965.

Pflugerville counted 65,191 residents at the 2020 census. It sits mostly in Travis County with a small portion in Williamson County, 18 miles north of Austin. Like the rest of the area it has long, hot and humid summers, which is exactly the weather algae and mildew need to grow back on siding, roofs and concrete.

Our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd is about 9.5 miles from Pflugerville in a straight line. We route visits so that several services on one property, for example a house wash, a driveway clean and a fence clean, can be done together.

We serve Pflugerville along with the other communities on our service areas page, all from the same crew that handles pressure washing in Austin.

I would say for the price I paid, $800. Only one layer of coating on top and no brush on edges or under the coping stones is extremely disappointing. I could do this top layer coating with a roller for a fraction of the cost myself. Not a professional service.

Deck Cleaning in Pflugerville: Frequently Asked Questions

Not necessarily. Many homeowners are at work or running errands during the visit. We just need access to the backyard, the deck, any fence being cleaned, and an outdoor water spigot. We confirm those details before the appointment and let you know when everything is finished and the gate is closed behind us.
Yes, when the method matches the finish. We lower the pressure, use a cleaner that is gentle on coatings and keep the wand at a safe distance so the color brightens rather than peels. If the stain or paint was already flaking before we arrived, we will show you those spots during the walkthrough.
For most decks, a yearly cleaning keeps grime and growth from settling in. Decks in heavy shade, under trees or near sprinklers may need attention more often, since those spots stay damp and turn green faster. We can suggest a schedule after we see how your deck sits in the yard and how quickly it gets dirty.
All of it. Pflugerville is mostly in Travis County with a small portion in Williamson County, and we serve homes on both sides.
We do. Composite and capped boards resist rot, but they still collect mildew, pollen film and chalky residue over time. We use a mild cleaner and a wide spray pattern that suits the material, so the planks come up evenly without streaks or scuffs on the embossed texture that gives them their wood look.
That problem comes from too much pressure held too close to the board. Our process leans on pretreatment to loosen the dirt, so the wash itself can stay gentle. The grain stays flat, and the deck feels smooth when you walk on it. Older boards with damage get extra care around the weak spots.
Yes. Stain and sealer grip clean wood far better than wood coated in pollen, dust or algae. A proper cleaning helps the new coat soak in evenly and last longer. If you are planning to restain, tell us, and we will schedule the cleaning so the boards have time to dry before your painter or stain crew arrives.
Yes. Many Pflugerville homeowners book the house, driveway and fence in one visit. Tell us what you want cleaned when you call (512) 662-8422 and we will quote it together.
