A Cleaner Exterior for Every North Austin Neighborhood
North Austin is the part of the city north of Central Austin, starting at roughly 51st Street, North Loop and Hancock Drive and running north toward Parmer Lane and beyond. The City of Austin’s neighborhood list splits it into North Central, Northeast, Northwest and Far North sections, so the area takes in everything from the bungalow streets of Brentwood to the hills west of MoPac. Much of the North Central part filled in after World War II. Brentwood was a cotton farm until the late 1940s, and Crestview was built on an old dairy farm in the 1950s and early 1960s. Shoal Creek runs through Allandale, a neighborhood known for large lots and mature trees, and on Memorial Day 1981 that creek jumped from its normal 90 gallons a minute to 6.55 million gallons per minute after as much as eleven inches of rain fell in three hours. The city’s east side, across the Balcones Fault, is flat with heavy clay and loam soils, and the Northeast section beyond I-35 includes Windsor Park and University Hills. For the outside of a home, that mix means shade from established trees in some pockets, fine clay soil in others, and houses that have now stood through sixty or seventy Austin summers of 90 degree heat.
Our method is simple: we look at every surface before any water goes on, clean siding, roofs and stone with a low-pressure soft wash, and use surface cleaning equipment on concrete. Call (512) 662-8422 and we will set up a free quote for your North Austin home.
Pressure Washing for North Austin Homes and Businesses
Residential Services in North Austin
- House Washing: A low-pressure soft wash that lifts algae, mildew, pollen and dust from siding, trim, soffits and stone accents, with plants protected and every side rinsed evenly so the house dries to one color.
- Roof Soft Washing: Dark streaks and green growth removed from shingle, tile and metal roofs with a roof-safe solution at low pressure, never a pressure wand on the roofing, so the roof brightens without losing granules.
- Driveway & Garage Cleaning: Traffic lanes, oil drips, tire marks and organic film lifted from driveways, aprons, garage floors and walks, with pretreatment first and surface cleaning equipment for an even finish.
- Window Cleaning: Pollen haze, dust film and sprinkler spots cleared from glass, frames, sills and screens, finished with a squeegee so the glass dries clear instead of streaked.
- Gutter Cleaning: Packed leaves and debris removed by hand, corners and valleys cleared and downspouts checked for flow, so water drains away from the house instead of spilling over the edge.
- Deck & Fence Cleaning: Wood, stained, painted and composite decks and fences cleaned with controlled pressure, board by board and section by section, so the boards come out even without splinters or stripes.
- Natural Stone Cleaning: Patios, pool decks, walkways and walls of limestone, travertine, flagstone and slate cleaned with stone-safe methods matched to the material, so the stone keeps its texture and color.
Commercial Services in North Austin
- Commercial Pressure Washing: Sidewalks, entries, dumpster pads and flatwork cleaned so a business looks cared for.
- Commercial Roof Cleaning: Streaks and organic growth removed from commercial roofs with a low-pressure method.
- Storefront Cleaning: Entries, walkways and building faces that customers see first, cleaned on a schedule that suits the business.
- Apartment & Breezeway Cleaning: Breezeways, stairwells and common areas cleaned for apartment communities.
Common Exterior Problems We Clean Around North Austin
Most of what dulls a home’s exterior in Central Texas comes from a short list of causes. These are the ones we clean most often.
Green Algae on Shaded Walls
Walls that miss the afternoon sun stay damp after rain and sprinklers, and a green film spreads across them. A soft wash kills the growth at the root instead of just knocking the top layer off, so it takes longer to return.
Roof Discoloration
Patchy, uneven color on a roof is often organic growth rather than dirt. We clean it with a roof-safe solution at low pressure, never with a pressure wand on the shingles.
Pollen and Dust Haze
A yellow or gray haze on siding, glass and patios is usually pollen mixed with dust. It does not rinse away on its own, and a cleaning solution is what lets it release.
Oil and Tire Marks on Concrete
Heat bakes vehicle drips and tire lanes into driveways and garage floors. Degreaser and dwell time come first, then surface cleaning equipment gives an even finish without stripes.
Mineral Deposits
Irrigation overspray dries into mineral deposits on siding, glass and stone. We look at them on the walkthrough, treat them as part of the job and say plainly what will and will not come off.
Clogged Gutters
Leaves, pollen and grit settle into gutters and turn into sludge that blocks downspouts. Water then pours over the edge and stains the trim below. Clearing the gutters and rinsing the fascia fixes both problems.
What North Austin Homeowners Count On From Us
Here is what homeowners in North Austin can count on when our crew arrives.
Low Pressure Where It Belongs
Paint, siding, shingles and soft stone are cleaned with a soft wash: low pressure and a cleaning solution that breaks down the growth, so the surface comes clean without being worn down. Concrete gets surface cleaning equipment instead.
An Eco-Friendly Way to Clean
Clean Green was built around eco-friendly exterior cleaning. We choose solutions for the surface in front of us, use only what the job needs, and rinse plants and beds so the yard is left the way we found it.
A Local Shop Since 2018
Bryan Gerhold founded Clean Green in 2018, and our crews work out of our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in Austin. We are open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM.
A Walkthrough Before the Water Goes On
Every job starts with a look at the surfaces, the stains and the landscaping, so the method fits the property instead of the other way around. You know what we plan to do before we start.

The Steps Behind Every North Austin Job
Every North Austin job follows the same five steps, whether it is a single driveway or the whole exterior.
1. Walkthrough
We walk the property with you or on our own, note each surface and material, and find the cause of every stain: pollen film, algae, mildew, runoff, oil or hard water.
2. Prep and Protection
We protect landscaping and sensitive areas before cleaning starts, because a careful job keeps runoff where it belongs.
3. Pretreat
Organic growth and traffic film are broken down with a pretreatment, so the stain releases without extra force.
4. Clean and Rinse
We rinse from the top down, or run surface cleaning equipment across concrete, so the finish dries even without stripes or wand marks.
5. Walk It Again
We check the work as it dries, because some surfaces look perfect wet and show unevenness later, and fix anything that needs it.
What to Expect on Service Day in North Austin
On the day of the visit, the crew arrives in the window we set when you booked and starts with a short walk around the property. If you are home, we go over what we plan to clean and point out anything that needs special care, such as older paint, soft stone or plants close to the walls. If you are away, we only need gates unlocked, pets inside and an outside spigot. We work through the property one area at a time. Before we leave, we check the work, rinse the beds again and tidy the area, so the yard looks the way we found it, only cleaner.
North Austin Pressure Washing Pricing
North Austin’s housing came in waves. Brentwood’s land stayed a cotton farm until the late 1940s, then filled with bungalows, often two and three bedrooms, bought by GIs after World War II, and the 2000 census counted just over 4,275 housing units there, mostly single-family homes. Crestview followed in the 1950s and early 1960s with single-family bungalows, mid-century ranch homes and apartments. Allandale is known for its large lots. Those facts shape the work. Bungalows and ranch homes sit low to the ground, which keeps most siding and trim within reach without tall ladders, and a large Allandale lot adds more driveway, walkway and patio to the job. Homes that have stood for sixty years or more also call for a closer look at siding and paint before any water touches them.
Every quote is free and is set after we see the property or a few clear photos. The price depends on:
- Size: the square footage of siding, roof or concrete to be cleaned
- Height: the number of stories and how the roofline is reached
- Surface type: stone, stucco, painted wood, vinyl, tile, shingle or concrete, each with its own method
- Condition: how heavy the algae, mildew, oil or staining is and how long it has been there
- Access: slopes, narrow side yards, dense planting and gated areas
Booking more than one service in the same visit is easy, and we quote them together, so a house wash, a roof clean and a driveway clean can all be done in one trip. Call (512) 662-8422 to get started.

Proudly Serving North Austin With Local Roots
North Austin covers the neighborhoods north of Central Austin, from 51st Street, North Loop and Hancock Drive up past Parmer Lane. It includes North Central streets such as Allandale, Brentwood and Crestview, Northeast areas like Windsor Park, and the Northwest and Far North sections beyond.
Beverly S. Sheffield Northwest District Park
Beverly S. Sheffield Northwest District Park sits in the heart of Allandale, and its ground has a long history: an early recorded use of the site was a limestone quarry that supplied stone for the 1853 Texas Capitol. Today the park’s swimming pool has 50 meter lap lanes, a high dive and a 12 foot deep diving well. It is the green center of a neighborhood known for large lots and mature trees, and when Austin highs reach 90 degrees, which happens on about 123 days a year, the pool is where the heat breaks.
Wall of Welcome and Crestview Station
The Wall of Welcome is a 120-foot mosaic completed in March 2008, and it appears in the histories of both Crestview and Brentwood. The neighborhood nonprofit Violet Crown Community Works helped raise the money to build it. Crestview itself grew on an old dairy farm in the 1950s and early 1960s under developer A.B. Beddow, and on its eastern edge, Crestview Station at North Lamar and Airport Boulevard opened in 2010 as a Capital MetroRail stop. A mosaic that faces the street all year takes the same sun and rain as every house around it.
Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park
Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park covers 293 acres in Northeast Austin, with 15 miles of hiking trails, softball fields, a swimming pool and a large off-leash area for dogs, and mountain bikers ride its trail network often. The park is hilly and wooded, with access to Walnut Creek and its limestone bluffs. The city bought the land in 1964, when it was part of the Gracy family farm, and the area has yielded several archaeological finds tied to the Tonkawa people. On a 90 degree afternoon, the wooded trails are a welcome break from the sun.
North Central Austin holds Allandale, Brentwood, Crestview, North Loop, North Shoal Creek and Wooten. Allandale runs from Burnet Road west to MoPac and from 45th Street north to West Anderson Lane, with Shoal Creek Boulevard through its middle. Brentwood sits between Burnet Road and North Lamar Boulevard, with Arroyo Seco and its tree-lined creek median, and Crestview lies to its north in ZIP code 78757. In the Northeast, past 51st Street and I-35, are Windsor Park and University Hills. West of MoPac, the Northwest section takes in Northwest Hills, Great Hills and Anderson Mill, and the Far North reaches past Parmer Lane to Wells Branch, Avery Ranch and Jollyville.
North Austin’s conditions depend on the pocket. Around Allandale, known for mature trees, and along Arroyo Seco in Brentwood, where 150 trees were planted on the median in 1993, shade falls on roofs and siding and keeps them damp longer after rain. Shoal Creek shows how hard a storm can hit here: in 1981 it carried 6.55 million gallons a minute, and high water leaves silt on driveways and lower walls. Toward the city’s east side, heavy clay and loam soils mean fine mud splashes along the base of the siding. Homes built in the 1950s and early 1960s, like much of Crestview, have had decades to collect stains that call for a gentle approach.
