A Cleaner Exterior for Every Lakeway Neighborhood
Lakeway sits on the south shore of Lake Travis in the western corner of Travis County, about 16 miles west of Austin, and the lake and the hills shape the outside of nearly every home here. The city began on a 2,700-acre ranch owned by Houston oilman Jack (Jake) Josey. Lot sales opened on May 30, 1963, the Lakeway Inn and Marina opened that July, and property owners voted to incorporate in 1974. What began as a retirement and second-home community reached 19,189 residents at the 2020 census. Hurst Creek runs straight through town and empties into Lake Travis, and the Hamilton Greenbelt trails follow it and Yaupon Creek through the middle of the city. Under the lawns is limestone left by an ancient shallow sea, and the city’s own history notes gastropod and mollusk fossils turning up in street banks and gullies after a heavy rain. That same rain moves soil and grit off the slopes toward the lowest surface it can find, which is often a driveway, a walk or the bottom course of siding. Add the humid subtropical climate of the Austin area, nearly 500 acres of greenbelts and a 65-mile lake at the edge of town, and a Lakeway exterior carries its own mix of shade, damp and runoff.
Each visit starts with a walkthrough. Delicate surfaces such as paint, shingles and stone get a soft wash at low pressure, and driveways and walks get surface cleaning equipment for an even finish. For a free quote in Lakeway, call (512) 662-8422.
Pressure Washing for Lakeway Homes and Businesses
Residential Services in Lakeway
- House Washing in Lakeway: A low-pressure soft wash that lifts algae, mildew, pollen and dust from siding, trim, soffits and stone accents, with plants protected and every side rinsed evenly so the house dries to one color.
- Roof Soft Washing in Lakeway: Dark streaks and green growth removed from shingle, tile and metal roofs with a roof-safe solution at low pressure, never a pressure wand on the roofing, so the roof brightens without losing granules.
- Driveway & Garage Cleaning in Lakeway: Traffic lanes, oil drips, tire marks and organic film lifted from driveways, aprons, garage floors and walks, with pretreatment first and surface cleaning equipment for an even finish.
- Window Cleaning in Lakeway: Pollen haze, dust film and sprinkler spots cleared from glass, frames, sills and screens, finished with a squeegee so the glass dries clear instead of streaked.
- Gutter Cleaning in Lakeway: Packed leaves and debris removed by hand, corners and valleys cleared and downspouts checked for flow, so water drains away from the house instead of spilling over the edge.
- Deck & Fence Cleaning: Wood, stained, painted and composite decks and fences cleaned with controlled pressure, board by board and section by section, so the boards come out even without splinters or stripes.
- Natural Stone Cleaning in Lakeway: Patios, pool decks, walkways and walls of limestone, travertine, flagstone and slate cleaned with stone-safe methods matched to the material, so the stone keeps its texture and color.

Common Exterior Problems We Clean Around Lakeway
A handful of problems account for most of the calls we get. Here is what they are and how we handle each one.
Algae and Mildew in the Shade
The north side of a house and anything under tree cover dries slowly, which is exactly what algae and mildew need. We treat these areas with a low-pressure solution that breaks the growth down before we rinse.
Black Streaks on the Roof
Dark streaks running down shingles are usually algae feeding on the roofing. High pressure strips granules, so we clean roofs with a soft wash that removes the staining without damaging the roof.
Seasonal Pollen
Cedar pollen season leaves a sticky film that mixes with dust and moisture. We break it down with the right solution so the true color of the surface shows again.
Driveway Stains
Oil spots, tire lanes and traffic film sink into porous concrete over time. Pretreatment loosens them, and a surface cleaner keeps the result even from edge to edge.
Hard Water and Sprinkler Spots
Sprinklers leave mineral spots on lower walls, windows and stone that do not wash off with plain water. We treat them during the clean and tell you honestly if older spotting has etched the surface.
Gutter Overflow Streaks
When a downspout is blocked, rainwater backs up and runs down the face of the gutter and the wall. Those dark tiger stripes come off with the right cleaner once the gutter itself is flowing again.
What Lakeway Homeowners Count On From Us
Here is what homeowners in Lakeway can count on when our crew arrives.
Low Pressure Where It Belongs
Paint, siding, shingles and soft stone are cleaned with a soft wash: low pressure and a cleaning solution that breaks down the growth, so the surface comes clean without being worn down. Concrete gets surface cleaning equipment instead.
An Eco-Friendly Way to Clean
Clean Green was built around eco-friendly exterior cleaning. We choose solutions for the surface in front of us, use only what the job needs, and rinse plants and beds so the yard is left the way we found it.
A Local Shop Since 2018
Bryan Gerhold founded Clean Green in 2018, and our crews work out of our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in Austin. We are open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM.
A Walkthrough Before the Water Goes On
Every job starts with a look at the surfaces, the stains and the landscaping, so the method fits the property instead of the other way around. You know what we plan to do before we start.

The Steps Behind Every Lakeway Job
The work is the same careful routine on every property we clean in Lakeway. Here is how a visit runs.
1. Look Around First
Before any equipment comes off the truck, we check the materials, the staining and the landscaping so the plan fits the property.
2. Shield What Surrounds the Work
Beds, lawns and fixtures near the work area are protected first, so the yard looks the same when we leave.
3. Treat the Surface
The right solution goes on at low pressure for siding, roofs and stone, or as a pretreatment for concrete, and it is given time to work.
4. Wash and Detail
Walls are rinsed at low pressure, concrete is cleaned with a surface cleaner, and edges, corners and steps are detailed by hand.
5. Finish and Review
A final look after the rinse confirms the result, and the work area is cleaned up before the crew packs up.
What to Expect on Service Day in Lakeway
Service day starts with a look around. The crew checks each surface, notes the plants and fixtures near the work and confirms the plan with you if you are home. You do not need to be there, as long as gates are open, pets are indoors and we can reach an outside spigot. We work through the property one area at a time, and we do a final check as surfaces dry. Before we pack up, the work area is rinsed and tidied, so the yard is ready to use again.
Lakeway Pressure Washing Pricing
Lakeway had 300 homes and 1,000 developed acres when the Lakeway Land Company changed hands in April 1971. The 2020 census counted 8,314 housing units, so most of today’s houses went up in the decades after the resort’s first years, while the population went from 4,044 in 1990 to 8,002 in 2000 and 19,189 in 2020. The city covers 13.37 square miles of Hill Country beside the lake, with nearly 500 acres of greenbelts running through it and 32 homes around the Lakeway Airpark runway, most with their own hangar. For exterior cleaning, that range matters. A house that steps down a slope toward a creek or the shoreline has more wall height on its low side, a long driveway may climb from the street, and a rear patio or hangar slab can sit well below the front door. Each quote starts with a walkthrough of the actual lot.
Every quote is free and is set after we see the property or a few clear photos. The price depends on:
- Size: the square footage of siding, roof or concrete to be cleaned
- Height: the number of stories and how the roofline is reached
- Surface type: stone, stucco, painted wood, vinyl, tile, shingle or concrete, each with its own method
- Condition: how heavy the algae, mildew, oil or staining is and how long it has been there
- Access: slopes, narrow side yards, dense planting and gated areas
Booking more than one service in the same visit is easy, and we quote them together, so a house wash, a roof clean and a driveway clean can all be done in one trip. Call (512) 662-8422 to get started.

Proudly Serving Lakeway With Local Roots
Lakeway is a city of 19,189 people on the south shore of Lake Travis in western Travis County, about 16 miles west of Austin. It grew out of a 1963 resort, the Lakeway Inn and Marina on Jake Josey’s former ranch, and incorporated as a 1,200-acre village in 1974 with Newt Herndon as its first mayor.
Lakeway City Park
Lakeway City Park covers 64 acres beside Lake Travis, with nearly two miles of connected pathway. The Huser Memorial Pavilion overlooks the lake and is set up for gatherings, and the park also holds a beach, two play areas, picnic sites, a wildflower meadow, a dog park, sand volleyball, basketball courts and Ranger Field, a multi-purpose sports field. It is laid out on two levels, with a rentable pavilion near the upper entrance and picnic tables on the lower level, one large grill on each. Park rules ask groups to check on burn bans before they cook out.
Hamilton Greenbelt and Hurst Creek Preserve
The Hamilton Greenbelt opened in April 1990 on land donated by Jack and Myrtle Hamilton. With the Smith Greenbelt, added through land and funds from Coleman and Mary Smith, and the Hurst Creek Preserve, it now forms several miles of developed and primitive trail along Hurst and Yaupon creeks. The main trailheads are off Lohmans Crossing at Cross Creek, across from the Lakeway Justice Center, and off Palos Verdes Drive, with more entrances from Sailmaster Street, Squires Drive and Clubhouse Drive. After a hard rain the creeks run, and Hurst Creek carries that water on to Lake Travis.
Lakeway Airpark
Lakeway Airpark began as a private airstrip built sometime between 1929 and 1936 on the Clifton George Ranch. The Lakeway Company took it over in the early 1960s as part of the resort plan and paved the runway in 1964. In the late 1970s it turned into a residential airpark, with hangar homes tied to the runway by private taxiways, and by 2025 there were 32 residences around the field, 30 of them with attached hangars. A hail shed on the ramp is leased out each year, a plain sign of the storms that roll over these hills.
The Hills, a master-planned gated community west of Farm Road 620, was in development by the 1990s around Hurst Creek and The Hills Country Club, whose golf course was designed by Jack Nicklaus, and it had incorporated as its own village by 2000. The Lakeway Airpark homes wrap around their runway. Lohmans Crossing carries traffic past the Lakeway Justice Center to the Hamilton Greenbelt, while Palos Verdes Drive, Sailmaster Street and Clubhouse Drive reach other trailheads. On Corinthian, a 1967 house build uncovered a dinosaur print in the shoreline, visible only when Lake Travis dropped below 681 feet. Lake Travis ISD elementary campuses include Lakeway Elementary, Rough Hollow Elementary and Serene Hills Elementary.
Lakeway is built on limestone laid down by an old shallow sea, and the hills west of Austin carry only a thin layer of topsoil over that rock. When heavy rain runs toward Hurst Creek, Yaupon Creek and Lake Travis, it can carry fine soil onto driveways and leave a dirty band along the bottom of walls on the uphill side of a house. Homes that back onto one of the greenbelts or face the lake often have a shaded side, and that is where green growth tends to start on siding and roof edges. Natural stone and older concrete get low-pressure soft washing or a surface cleaner, not a hard blast.
We serve Lakeway along with every town on our areas served page, from the same crew that handles pressure washing in Austin. See photos and reviews of our pressure washing in Lakeway on our Google Business Profile.
