A Cleaner Exterior for Every Four Points Neighborhood

Four Points takes its name from a crossroads. The Handbook of Texas places the old community, also called Four Corners or Hickmuntown, at the meeting of RM 620 and RM 2222 in northern Travis County, and in the 1940s county highway maps marked it with little more than a school, a church, a few businesses and several scattered houses. RM 620 reached the spot on August 26, 1948, and RM 2222 was designated in 1954. Today the name covers a west Austin neighborhood in ZIP code 78726, with Steiner Ranch, River Place, Grandview Hills and Canyon Creek all reached from the same corner. The setting is Hill Country through and through. Heading southeast from the intersection, RM 2222 is a four-lane road through lightly developed hills that climbs Tumbleweed Hill, a half mile at a ten-percent grade, and the nearby Balcones Canyonlands are cut deep into Edwards Plateau limestone under oak, elm and Ashe juniper. For a house here, that setting shows up in a few ways. Rain runs fast off sloped lots and across drives and walks, hillside trees shade some walls and roofs, and the humid Central Texas climate keeps those shaded faces damp longer than the sunny ones. Housing around Four Points tends toward late twentieth century and newer builds, so many exteriors have already been through a few decades of that weather.

Our method is simple: we look at every surface before any water goes on, clean siding, roofs and stone with a low-pressure soft wash, and use surface cleaning equipment on concrete. Call (512) 662-8422 and we will set up a free quote for your Four Points home.

Pressure Washing for Four Points Homes and Businesses

Residential Services in Four Points

  • House Washing in Four Points: A low-pressure soft wash that lifts algae, mildew, pollen and dust from siding, trim, soffits and stone accents, with plants protected and every side rinsed evenly so the house dries to one color.
  • Roof Soft Washing in Four Points: Dark streaks and green growth removed from shingle, tile and metal roofs with a roof-safe solution at low pressure, never a pressure wand on the roofing, so the roof brightens without losing granules.
  • Driveway & Garage Cleaning in Four Points: Traffic lanes, oil drips, tire marks and organic film lifted from driveways, aprons, garage floors and walks, with pretreatment first and surface cleaning equipment for an even finish.
  • Window Cleaning in Four Points: Pollen haze, dust film and sprinkler spots cleared from glass, frames, sills and screens, finished with a squeegee so the glass dries clear instead of streaked.
  • Gutter Cleaning in Four Points: Packed leaves and debris removed by hand, corners and valleys cleared and downspouts checked for flow, so water drains away from the house instead of spilling over the edge.
  • Deck & Fence Cleaning in Four Points: Wood, stained, painted and composite decks and fences cleaned with controlled pressure, board by board and section by section, so the boards come out even without splinters or stripes.
  • Natural Stone Cleaning: Patios, pool decks, walkways and walls of limestone, travertine, flagstone and slate cleaned with stone-safe methods matched to the material, so the stone keeps its texture and color.

Common Exterior Problems We Clean Around Four Points

Most of what dulls a home’s exterior in Central Texas comes from a short list of causes. These are the ones we clean most often.

Green Algae on Shaded Walls

Walls that miss the afternoon sun stay damp after rain and sprinklers, and a green film spreads across them. A soft wash kills the growth at the root instead of just knocking the top layer off, so it takes longer to return.

Roof Discoloration

Patchy, uneven color on a roof is often organic growth rather than dirt. We clean it with a roof-safe solution at low pressure, never with a pressure wand on the shingles.

Pollen and Dust Haze

A yellow or gray haze on siding, glass and patios is usually pollen mixed with dust. It does not rinse away on its own, and a cleaning solution is what lets it release.

Oil and Tire Marks on Concrete

Heat bakes vehicle drips and tire lanes into driveways and garage floors. Degreaser and dwell time come first, then surface cleaning equipment gives an even finish without stripes.

Mineral Deposits

Irrigation overspray dries into mineral deposits on siding, glass and stone. We look at them on the walkthrough, treat them as part of the job and say plainly what will and will not come off.

Clogged Gutters

Leaves, pollen and grit settle into gutters and turn into sludge that blocks downspouts. Water then pours over the edge and stains the trim below. Clearing the gutters and rinsing the fascia fixes both problems.

What Four Points Homeowners Count On From Us

Here is what homeowners in Four Points can count on when our crew arrives.

Low Pressure Where It Belongs

Paint, siding, shingles and soft stone are cleaned with a soft wash: low pressure and a cleaning solution that breaks down the growth, so the surface comes clean without being worn down. Concrete gets surface cleaning equipment instead.

An Eco-Friendly Way to Clean

Clean Green was built around eco-friendly exterior cleaning. We choose solutions for the surface in front of us, use only what the job needs, and rinse plants and beds so the yard is left the way we found it.

A Local Shop Since 2018

Bryan Gerhold founded Clean Green in 2018, and our crews work out of our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in Austin. We are open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM.

A Walkthrough Before the Water Goes On

Every job starts with a look at the surfaces, the stains and the landscaping, so the method fits the property instead of the other way around. You know what we plan to do before we start.

Free Quotes With a Clear Scope

The quote is free and it spells out what we will clean. If you want more than one service, we quote them together so it can all happen in one visit.

The Steps Behind Every Four Points Job

Every Four Points job follows the same five steps, whether it is a single driveway or the whole exterior.

1. Walkthrough

We walk the property with you or on our own, note each surface and material, and find the cause of every stain: pollen film, algae, mildew, runoff, oil or hard water.

2. Prep and Protection

We protect landscaping and sensitive areas before cleaning starts, because a careful job keeps runoff where it belongs.

3. Pretreat

Organic growth and traffic film are broken down with a pretreatment, so the stain releases without extra force.

4. Clean and Rinse

We rinse from the top down, or run surface cleaning equipment across concrete, so the finish dries even without stripes or wand marks.

5. Walk It Again

We check the work as it dries, because some surfaces look perfect wet and show unevenness later, and fix anything that needs it.

What to Expect on Service Day in Four Points

On the day of the visit, the crew arrives in the window we set when you booked and starts with a short walk around the property. If you are home, we go over what we plan to clean and point out anything that needs special care, such as older paint, soft stone or plants close to the walls. If you are away, we only need gates unlocked, pets inside and an outside spigot. We work through the property one area at a time. Before we leave, we check the work, rinse the beds again and tidy the area, so the yard looks the way we found it, only cleaner.

Four Points Pressure Washing Pricing

Housing around Four Points tends to date from the late twentieth century or later. Canyon Creek, in the corner between RM 2222 and RM 620, was developed by the Blanton Company in the late 1980s, grew quickly through the 1990s and was completely built out by 2005. Steiner Ranch, reached from the same intersection, spreads across 4,600 acres on a ridge between Lake Travis and Lake Austin, grew throughout the 1990s and counted 5,719 housing units at the 2020 census. Across the area, exteriors commonly mix stone accents, brick and siding. That mix shapes the work more than square footage alone: stone and brick call for a gentler approach than painted siding, and where a lot sits on a ridge or a slope, the downhill wall can stand a full story taller than the uphill side, which changes how the crew sets up.

Every quote is free and is set after we see the property or a few clear photos. The price depends on:

  • Size: the square footage of siding, roof or concrete to be cleaned
  • Height: the number of stories and how the roofline is reached
  • Surface type: stone, stucco, painted wood, vinyl, tile, shingle or concrete, each with its own method
  • Condition: how heavy the algae, mildew, oil or staining is and how long it has been there
  • Access: slopes, narrow side yards, dense planting and gated areas

Booking more than one service in the same visit is easy, and we quote them together, so a house wash, a roof clean and a driveway clean can all be done in one trip. Call (512) 662-8422 to get started.

I would say for the price I paid, $800. Only one layer of coating on top and no brush on edges or under the coping stones is extremely disappointing. I could do this top layer coating with a roller for a fraction of the cost myself. Not a professional service.

Proudly Serving Four Points With Local Roots

Four Points is the west Austin neighborhood that grew up around the crossroads of RM 620 and RM 2222, a spot once known as Hickmuntown. It sits in Travis County in ZIP code 78726, where RM 2222 becomes Bullick Hollow Road and runs on toward the east side of Lake Travis.

The RM 620 and RM 2222 intersection

Four Points starts at the intersection that gave it its name. RM 620 was extended here on August 26, 1948, when the spot was still Hickmuntown, and RM 2222 begins here and runs southeast 5.2 miles to Loop 360. The City of Austin designates the western stretch of RM 620 and the stretch of RM 2222 west of Loop 1 as scenic roadways. In April 2022 a bypass, RM Spur 620, opened so Austin-bound drivers from Lakeway could skip the crossroads. These roads rise and fall with the hills, and rain runs fast down them.

Vandegrift High School

Vandegrift High School, at 9500 McNeil Drive, is a Leander ISD campus named for Marine First Lieutenant Matthew Ryan Vandegrift, who was killed in action in Basra, Iraq in 2008. The school spent its first year, 2009, inside adjacent Four Points Middle School and moved to its own campus at the start of the 2010 school year. Canyon Creek, the neighborhood tucked into the corner of RM 620 and RM 2222, is served in part by Leander ISD, with Grandview Hills Elementary, Four Points Middle School and Vandegrift on its list of schools.

Concordia University Texas

Concordia University Texas left the 23-acre campus near downtown it had used since its founding and opened a new northwest Austin campus in July 2008, on 384 acres that had been the Schlumberger Austin Systems Center. The six original buildings, lettered A through F and linked by covered walkways, were renovated rather than replaced. The campus includes a 250-acre nature preserve that is part of the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve, habitat for the golden-cheeked warbler and black-capped vireo. Canyon Creek lists it as its nearby university, a reminder of how much protected land still surrounds homes here.

Several neighborhoods share the Four Points crossroads. Canyon Creek fills the corner bounded by RM 2222 on the south, RM 620 on the west and Anderson Mill Road on the north, with a headwater tributary of Bull Creek along its east side. Much of it was once a working cattle ranch owned by Congressman J. J. Pickle, and Boulder Lane loops through it, crossing RM 620 at both entrances. Steiner Ranch spreads over 4,600 acres on a ridge in a bend of the Colorado River between Lake Travis and Lake Austin, on land developer Al Hughes bought from the Steiner family in the late 1980s. River Place and Grandview Hills are also reached from Four Points.

Four Points sits west of the Balcones Fault, where the hills are mostly limestone under a thin covering of topsoil, and the nearby canyons are cut deep into that rock. On sloped lots, storm water moves fast and carries grit and soil across driveways, walks and the lower courses of stone and brick. The vegetation of the surrounding canyonlands includes oak, elm and Ashe juniper, and where trees like these shade a wall or a roof, Austin’s humid subtropical climate lets algae and mildew hold on longer. Homes built from the late 1980s on, as in Canyon Creek and Steiner Ranch, can carry years of that buildup on siding, stone accents and concrete.

We serve Four Points along with every town on our areas served page, from the same crew that handles pressure washing in Austin. See photos and reviews of our pressure washing in Four Points on our Google Business Profile.

Pressure Washing in Four Points: Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Canyon Creek sits right in the corner of RM 2222 and RM 620, and Steiner Ranch is reached from the same Four Points intersection, so both are part of the area we cover from our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in Austin. We are open Monday to Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM, quotes are free, and before any work starts we do a walkthrough of the property with you.
No. A soft wash uses low pressure and lets the cleaning solution do the work, which is why it is the method we use on paint, vinyl, stucco and stone. High pressure is what strips paint and forces water behind siding, and we keep it off those surfaces.
Four Points is about 5.5 miles in a straight line from our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd. The neighborhood is in Travis County, in ZIP code 78726. RM 620 crosses into Williamson County a little farther north, just past its intersection with RM 2769, and we serve homes on both sides of that county line. Call us Monday to Saturday between 8 AM and 8 PM to set up a free quote.
It depends on the size of the property and the services booked. A driveway alone is a short visit, while a full exterior with the house, roof and concrete takes longer. We give you a time estimate with the quote.
Yes. Homes around Four Points commonly combine stone accents, brick and siding, and each one needs its own approach. We use low-pressure soft washing on stone, brick and painted siding so the cleaning solution does the work instead of force, and we use surface cleaning equipment on flat concrete such as driveways and walks. During the walkthrough before work, we show you which surface gets which method.
We protect beds and plants before we start and rinse them during and after the work. We ask that pets stay inside while we clean, and once surfaces are rinsed and dry, the yard is ready for them again.
No, as long as we can reach the areas to be cleaned. Gates need to be unlocked, pets kept inside and an outside spigot available. We confirm the details before the visit.
It changes the planning, not whether we can do the job. Parts of the Four Points area sit beside protected land, from the golden-cheeked warbler habitat in Canyon Creek to the Balcones Canyonlands along Bull Creek’s headwater tributary. On the walkthrough before work, we look at where water will run on your sloped lot and which plants grow close to the walls, and we use low-pressure soft washing on delicate surfaces.
Most homes do well with a house wash about once a year. Shaded walls, heavy pollen seasons and damp areas can call for cleaning more often. We can suggest a schedule after we see the property.
Pressure washing uses a strong stream of water on hard surfaces such as concrete. Soft washing uses a cleaning solution at low pressure, so the solution does the work. We soft wash siding, roofs, painted trim and stone, and use surface cleaning equipment on concrete.
