A Cleaner Exterior for Every Barton Creek Neighborhood

Barton Creek is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in southwestern Travis County, south of Farm Road 2244 and about eight miles west of downtown Austin by the Handbook of Texas count. It takes its name from the creek that begins in northern Hays County and flows 40 miles east through Austin, draining into the Edwards Aquifer recharge zone before it rises again at Barton Springs. The community began in 1974 as a development of the Ben Barnes and John Connally partnership, and Freeport-McMoRan bought the property in 1988. Its 4,000-acre development plan then drew more than 800 registered speakers to an all-night Austin City Council hearing on June 7, 1990, a fight tied to the Save Our Springs ordinance voters later approved. Today the CDP covers 5.4 square miles of land and held 3,356 residents at the 2020 census. The ground is Hill Country: limestone cliffs, spring-fed water, and native trees on the resort grounds that include live oak, madrone, redbud, elm, cedar, pecan, cottonwood and hackberry. For a house here, that setting means shade and leaf drop from native trees, pollen on roofs and gutters, any limestone or stone surfaces needing a careful touch, and Austin’s humid subtropical climate letting algae and mildew grow on shaded walls.

We match the method to the material: a gentle soft wash for siding, roofs and stone, and surface cleaning equipment for concrete, with plants and beds protected throughout. Barton Creek homeowners can call (512) 662-8422 for a free quote.

Pressure Washing for Barton Creek Homes and Businesses

Residential Services in Barton Creek

  • House Washing in Barton Creek: A low-pressure soft wash that lifts algae, mildew, pollen and dust from siding, trim, soffits and stone accents, with plants protected and every side rinsed evenly so the house dries to one color.
  • Roof Soft Washing in Barton Creek: Dark streaks and green growth removed from shingle, tile and metal roofs with a roof-safe solution at low pressure, never a pressure wand on the roofing, so the roof brightens without losing granules.
  • Driveway & Garage Cleaning in Barton Creek: Traffic lanes, oil drips, tire marks and organic film lifted from driveways, aprons, garage floors and walks, with pretreatment first and surface cleaning equipment for an even finish.
  • Window Cleaning in Barton Creek: Pollen haze, dust film and sprinkler spots cleared from glass, frames, sills and screens, finished with a squeegee so the glass dries clear instead of streaked.
  • Gutter Cleaning in Barton Creek: Packed leaves and debris removed by hand, corners and valleys cleared and downspouts checked for flow, so water drains away from the house instead of spilling over the edge.
  • Deck & Fence Cleaning in Barton Creek: Wood, stained, painted and composite decks and fences cleaned with controlled pressure, board by board and section by section, so the boards come out even without splinters or stripes.
  • Natural Stone Cleaning in Barton Creek: Patios, pool decks, walkways and walls of limestone, travertine, flagstone and slate cleaned with stone-safe methods matched to the material, so the stone keeps its texture and color.

Common Exterior Problems We Clean Around Barton Creek

The same few culprits show up on siding, roofs and concrete across the area. This is what they look like and what we do about them.

Organic Growth

Green and black growth on siding, fences and stone is alive, and scrubbing or blasting it off leaves the roots behind. The right solution and enough dwell time clear it without harming the surface.

Dark Roof Stains

Streaks that start near the ridge and run down the slope make a roof look older than it is. A low-pressure roof soft wash lifts them safely, and the roof keeps brightening in the days after.

Cedar Pollen Film

Each winter and spring, cedar pollen settles on everything and turns sticky in humid air. It clings to siding, windows and textured stone until a proper wash dissolves it.

Stained Concrete

Driveways and walks collect oil, rust, tire marks and organic film. We treat each stain type first, because pressure alone rarely lifts the worst of them and too much can etch the surface.

Sprinkler Marks

White and tan spots near the ground come from irrigation water drying on the surface again and again. Many come out completely, and we set expectations up front for the stubborn ones.

Overflowing Gutters and Stained Fascia

Packed gutters spill water over the edge, which streaks fascia and siding and can dump water beside the foundation. We clear the debris by hand, check the downspouts and wash off the streaks it left behind.

What Barton Creek Homeowners Count On From Us

Here is what homeowners in Barton Creek can count on when our crew arrives.

Low Pressure Where It Belongs

Paint, siding, shingles and soft stone are cleaned with a soft wash: low pressure and a cleaning solution that breaks down the growth, so the surface comes clean without being worn down. Concrete gets surface cleaning equipment instead.

An Eco-Friendly Way to Clean

Clean Green was built around eco-friendly exterior cleaning. We choose solutions for the surface in front of us, use only what the job needs, and rinse plants and beds so the yard is left the way we found it.

A Local Shop Since 2018

Bryan Gerhold founded Clean Green in 2018, and our crews work out of our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in Austin. We are open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 8 PM.

A Walkthrough Before the Water Goes On

Every job starts with a look at the surfaces, the stains and the landscaping, so the method fits the property instead of the other way around. You know what we plan to do before we start.

The quote is free and it spells out what we will clean. If you want more than one service, we quote them together so it can all happen in one visit.

The Steps Behind Every Barton Creek Job

From the first look to the last rinse, a visit to a Barton Creek home follows five steps.

1. Surface Check

A quick inspection tells us what each surface is made of and what is discoloring it, which decides the method, the solution and the pressure.

2. Protect the Property

Plants and beds are wet down, light items are moved, and outlets, vents and fixtures are noted so the work stays controlled.

3. Apply and Dwell

A cleaning solution matched to the surface is applied evenly and left to loosen the growth and grime at the root.

4. Even Cleaning

Controlled pressure and steady technique give a uniform finish across the whole surface, including the corners and edges.

5. Final Check

Once surfaces start to dry, we walk the property again, touch up anything missed and leave the area clean.

What to Expect on Service Day in Barton Creek

Here is how a visit usually goes. The crew arrives, walks the property and confirms what is on the list. Plants and outdoor items near the work are protected before any solution goes on. You can be home for it, but you do not have to be: unlocked gates, pets inside and an outside spigot are all we need. When the cleaning is done, we look over every surface as it dries, touch up anything that needs it and leave the work area clean.

Barton Creek Pressure Washing Pricing

The 2020 census counted 1,563 housing units in the Barton Creek CDP, up from 754 at the 2000 census, spread over 5.4 square miles. Much of the community is made up of sixteen gated neighborhoods reached mainly by Barton Creek Boulevard off Bee Cave Road, on lots of one to five acres. The Estates Above Lost Creek, developed in the mid-1980s and early 1990s, has no lot smaller than three-quarters of an acre. For our crews, lots that size can mean long drives, wide walks and patios, and walls set well back from the street. Grade changes across a big lot decide where equipment can be staged and where rinse water will run, and gated entries and long drives are among the details we cover during the walkthrough before any work begins.

Every quote is free and is set after we see the property or a few clear photos. The price depends on:

  • Size: the square footage of siding, roof or concrete to be cleaned
  • Height: the number of stories and how the roofline is reached
  • Surface type: stone, stucco, painted wood, vinyl, tile, shingle or concrete, each with its own method
  • Condition: how heavy the algae, mildew, oil or staining is and how long it has been there
  • Access: slopes, narrow side yards, dense planting and gated areas

Booking more than one service in the same visit is easy, and we quote them together, so a house wash, a roof clean and a driveway clean can all be done in one trip. Call (512) 662-8422 to get started.

I would say for the price I paid, $800. Only one layer of coating on top and no brush on edges or under the coping stones is extremely disappointing. I could do this top layer coating with a roller for a fraction of the cost myself. Not a professional service.

Proudly Serving Barton Creek With Local Roots

Barton Creek is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in southwestern Travis County, about eight miles west of downtown Austin and south of Farm Road 2244. It began in 1974, counted 3,356 residents at the 2020 census and is named for the creek that forms one of its borders.

Barton Creek, the stream

The creek that gives the community its name starts in northern Hays County and runs 40 miles east to meet the Colorado River at Lady Bird Lake. Along the way it drains into the Edwards Aquifer recharge zone, then reemerges downstream at Barton Springs. From 1866 to 1886 it served as a rest stop for settlers, ranchers and cattle headed to the railhead in Austin. Downstream on the Greenbelt it is a creek of limestone cliffs, dense foliage and shallow water that actively flows only one to two months a year, depending on rain.

St. Michael’s Catholic Preparatory School

St. Michael’s sits on about 50 acres at 3000 Barton Creek Boulevard. It was founded in 1984, after Austin’s only Catholic high school had closed in 1972, and it was one of the first Catholic schools in the country established entirely by lay people. In 2023 it merged with its sister school, St. Gabriel’s, and in 2024 both campuses took the name St. Michael’s Catholic Preparatory School. The Barton Creek CDP itself is zoned to Austin ISD schools, Oak Hill Elementary, O. Henry Middle School and Austin High School, so St. Michael’s is the private campus inside the community.

Barton Creek Country Club and the resort courses

Barton Creek started in 1974 when its recreational facilities were built, and the Handbook of Texas counts a tennis center, nature trails, three golf courses and Barton Creek Country Club. In 1988 Freeport-McMoRan sold the country club to Robert H. Dedman and his Club Corp. of America. The community hosted the Seniors PGA Legends of Golf from 1990 to 1994. Fazio Foothills opened in 1986, the resort opened on September 5, 1987, Crenshaw Cliffside followed in 1991 and Fazio Canyons in 1999, on grounds of limestone cliffs and spring-fed Barton Creek.

Barton Creek is made up of sixteen gated neighborhoods, most of them reached by Barton Creek Boulevard off Bee Cave Road, and the area is bordered by Barton Creek, Bee Cave Road and Southwest Parkway. The Estates Above Lost Creek, also called the Estates at Barton Creek, sits off Barton Creek Boulevard by way of Winding Creek Drive and was developed in the mid-1980s and early 1990s. Barton Creek Estates is named in the preliminary plans Barton Creek Properties filed in April 1992. Barton Creek Boulevard also forms the western edge of Lost Creek, the neighborhood named for a secluded stretch of the same creek.

Barton Creek sits in the hills west of Austin, where the ground is mostly limestone under a thin covering of topsoil and the creek has cut limestone cliffs. Thin soil over rock holds little water, so storm runoff crosses sloped lots and leaves silt lines on drives, walks and the base of stone walls. Where live oak, cedar, pecan and hackberry stand over a roof, leaves and pollen pile up in gutters and valleys. In Austin’s humid subtropical climate, shaded walls stay damp enough for algae and mildew. On lots of one to five acres, one home can mean long runs of concrete and wide patios, so we pair soft washing for delicate surfaces with surface cleaning equipment for flatwork.

We serve Barton Creek along with every town on our areas served page, from the same crew that handles pressure washing in Austin. See photos and reviews of our pressure washing in Barton Creek on our Google Business Profile.

Pressure Washing in Barton Creek: Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. We serve homes across Barton Creek’s sixteen gated neighborhoods, including the Estates Above Lost Creek off Winding Creek Drive. Lots there start at three-quarters of an acre, so the walkthrough covers the full drive, the walks and every side of the house before we start. Let us know how gate access works when you call, and the quote is free.
Most homes do well with a house wash about once a year. Shaded walls, heavy pollen seasons and damp areas can call for cleaning more often. We can suggest a schedule after we see the property.
Our shop at 13200 Pond Springs Rd in Austin is about 13.5 miles from Barton Creek in a straight line. The community sits south of Farm Road 2244, about eight miles west of downtown, and most homes are reached by Barton Creek Boulevard off Bee Cave Road. We are open Monday to Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM, and quotes are free.
Pressure washing uses a strong stream of water on hard surfaces such as concrete. Soft washing uses a cleaning solution at low pressure, so the solution does the work. We soft wash siding, roofs, painted trim and stone, and use surface cleaning equipment on concrete.
Yes. Barton Creek is an unincorporated community in Travis County, counted by the census as its own place, even though its public schools are in Austin ISD. That makes no difference to booking. We serve the area Monday to Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM, quotes are free, and we walk the property with you before any work begins so you know what will be cleaned.
Yes. Many homeowners book a house wash, a driveway clean and a roof or window clean together. Tell us what you want cleaned when you call and we will quote it all at once.
Call (512) 662-8422 or request a quote online. We can quote from a visit or from a few clear photos, and the quote is free.
Barton Creek drains into the Edwards Aquifer recharge zone before it reemerges at Barton Springs, and the land here is limestone Hill Country, so care with runoff matters. We use low-pressure soft washing for stone, stucco and other delicate surfaces, and during the walkthrough we plan where rinse water will run before any work starts.
No. A soft wash uses low pressure and lets the cleaning solution do the work, which is why it is the method we use on paint, vinyl, stucco and stone. High pressure is what strips paint and forces water behind siding, and we keep it off those surfaces.
It depends on the size of the property and the services booked. A driveway alone is a short visit, while a full exterior with the house, roof and concrete takes longer. We give you a time estimate with the quote.
